One of the best sites for a HUGE variety of breeds (AKC only recognizes 160-something breeds) is UKC's at www.ukcdogs.com. Choose Registration and then Breeds. UKC recognizes well over 200 breeds and they are listed under the different groups with breed standards.

The kennel clubs usually have them, I dont know their sites right off though.
Yahoo's pets section includes a catagory area where you can narrow it down that way.
