Schools, hospitals, psychiatric institutions and jails especially would be cool! My friends and I are interested in doing an opacity.us-like visit. We have done one to a 'haunted' house in Wexford, Loftus Hall, the pictures are on free webs and the name is rivolta silenziosa (it will not let me paste a link) and we would like to do lots more! If there are any places you know of (especially in this area, but we do not mind travelling we are based in Waterford) please let me know!

Thank you these answers are very good! Yep I know of the Loftus Hall story, we saw some strange stuff all right, the tables all set and in one of my pictures it looks like there's something peeking up out of one of the underground tunnels, VERY weird!

i've got the perfect place for you !! Dunhill Castle near Annestown in Waterford. It is an old abandoned castle which was the site of a massacre by Cromwell. I went there with my family and we heard strange music coming from somewhere even though there were no houses or people anywhere nearby! it was scary! There is a kind of a strange feeling in the air around the place!

The most Famous Spooky Place in Ireland is The Hell Fire Club in the Hills above Rathfarnham in Dublin. It was a Mansion, a Country Retreat for a Well to Do Lord I dont know his Name off hand but it is well Documented. The well to do had Soirees thereBig Parties and they Gambled , and there is Stories of Wild Sex Orgies and Black Magic that were held by this Lord in the 18th Century. They were having an Evening of Gambling when someone noticed that one of the Guests had Cloven Feet then Uproar Broke out and there was a Scatter to get out the Door ,Stuff was knocked down like Candles and a Fire Started and it was burned down the Mansion. It is a very Spooky Place to this Day, I have Heard that some times Devil Worshipping goes on there with Sacrifices on the QT. All around this area is said to be Haunted. Another place in the same area is Kytlers Hotel it is Haunted by a Big Black Dog. You can See the Hell Fire Club from as far away as Clontarf Sea Front looking over to the Dublin Mountains the last big Hill on the right a top the Hill look at it with Binoculars. When you leave dublin go up Harolds Cross RD into Terenure Village and turn at the Bank right on to Templeogue Rd. At Templeogue Bridge Turn Left and then right onto Firhouse Rd and Proceed onto Ballycullen Rd Adjacent to the M50 Motorway. Go Straight up Ballycullen Rd for a few Miles up the Mountain and you will come to the Hell Fire Club. Dont go there at Night and go with a few People preferably a group. A Fellow I know who went there once said there was a load of Goths there behaving very strangely he thinks they were Dabbling with Black Magic so have a care. The other places I can think of is Wicklow Gaol. Kilmainham Gaol in Islandbridge on Inchcore Rd in Dublins South Side, Where the1916 Leaders were Executed. Good luck with youre Quest.

my god loftus hall is very haunted do you know the story on it,if not email me and i will let you know,or visit the lighthouse, not far from loftus hall, and they will give you the information on it.and i have seen it on the Internet up until 5yrs ago there was still an old lady living in it, not sure if she is still alive, but she used to go out shopping and comes over to england but no one sees her going out, its soooo spooky.if you go to wexford in bunclody, up old cemetery road opposite the cemetery is a brick wall, if you look at the wall you will see a shape of four fingers and a thumb this is said to be the devils hand print, you can put your fingers/thumb into it, we have many photos of our family when they came to stay putting their fingers into it.and another one is in droghda is in i think it is st francis church the head of sir oliver plunket,it is preserved, and is near the alter and has been in the church for years,
