God chooses the foolish, or not so rich, or unimportant, etc. of this world to confuse the wisdom of the world.

So the world may call someone a good for nothing, etc. but God looks at that person with compassion & chooses that person, and makes that person the Righteousness of Christ.

Do you really think that you could ask such a question to a panel o people who are devoted Christians and who hold Ph.D's?
Do you think you could have asked that question to C. S. Lewis? How about John Paul II, or even the current pope who can speak and write in many languages?

Because one believes something that another doesn't has no bearing on their relative intelligence. It is possible to be very intelligent and right, just as it is possible to be very intelligent and wrong.

In the case of God, there is no solid evidence to support or disprove such a beings' existence. Therefore, the only real stupid position is to call either position stupid. Let people believe as they will while you do the same. That's the position that an open mind takes. Casting judgement on another for holding a position that you can't prove or disprove is hubris and not worthy of an intelligent being.

Not stupid, but tired of looking at answers around them, to explain everything that happen... So god help to understand and see the world for many... Others don't see God as a magical thing and believe in some other laws or rule in life, that cannot be called god...
Everybody has a different conception of our world and origin, nobody's wrong yet, but it may not be like this forever...
Remove religion or god to somebody, and he will become very vulnerable in his life... This thing help people live better life at least... If we dont take into account, all the wars that have originated from religion interests...

Conveniently leaving out your belief system, aren't you? Is that so you can underhandedly criticize others without fear of rebuttal? Oh, well. If you're going to post, at least take some responsibility for your statement!

Satan believes in God. He is definitely not stupid. Millions of people believe in God. Are they stupider than you? Not for us to tell. Let God determine who is right and who is wrong. After all, He'll judge everybody when it's all said and done.

There are a couple stupid ones, but the bulk of them aren't... indeed many of them are intelligent.

The problem is that many of them are misled or ignorant of history and science... The king of people for instance who think "evolution is just a theory" without realizing that in science a theory is pretty much demonstrated fact, gravity is also "just a theory."

It is no accident that the US has fallen to the near the bottom of the barrel in terms of education in science and math (polls show about 95% of Americans are scientifically illiterate) and also happens to be the most religious. Meanwhile countries with the best overall education in math and science are predominantly atheist/secular.

"Believe in God" doesn't give much information. There's a thousand ways to believe in God. For each religion, there's also a million spins on it.

What IS a sign of stupidity is to look for faults in people around you. Not that that doesn't exist. People who got it together don't have time to think about that. They don't have to "teach" anything. They make the best examples.

'There has been done quite some research about this subject, and in almost every research I've seen religious people have a lower IQ than atheists. It's also quite a know fact that 70% of all scientists don't believe in a god at all.

I could not resent this one. I have been a believer for about 26 years, and I am far from being stupid. My Lord has protected from more danger than even I know. Get a grip. Read your Bible. Your Lord loves you too.
One more thing, I have been healed from broken heart to broken bones, so you see, He is all able and willing to help those who ask.

Stupid and intellegand are the point of view.
Believe of god is stupid; the concept cannot say stupid the motion may be. The unbelieve of god is also stupid as he don't know the use of poison. The poison can save your life and the poison can kill you.
