im in the market to buy the best off roading vehicle!

i own a shop,and i have always thought the wrangler was better ,it just looks more like an off road vehicle,and also i have owned one before ,and they do go good off road,i have seen a lot of the patriots ,but never seen one of them do much off roading before,but the wrangler ,which is basically a cj series does really good,so id stay with one of those,the jeep i had ,was good it went place no jeep should have been able to go,but with the help of a good winch ,i went in some bad places with it,but they are good,and will take it,good luck hope this helps.

I would go for the wrangler.. now if you just like to drive on a beach or dirt roads then maybe the patriot if you need the cargo area in your regular life... Otherwise the Wrangler is an awesome vehicle.. If you get dual tops its like have three cars in one... There is nothing nicer knowing you can have a convertible in like 5 minutes... Plus the after ,market is huge Wranglers have a cult following, Chics dig em... And wrangler is definately a great 4X4 out of the box. I would also venture to say the Wrangler will hold its resale value better.
If you are buying Brand new,,insist on the Mygig player, I believe it holds like 8 gig of music when the navigation stuff its the other 12gig... I have yet to actually see this player in a Wrangler,, but i wish my 04 Jeep could fit it.. The RB1 cant play mp3's...

Wranglers are great off road vehicles, as that is basically what they are made for. They have more pulling power, etc. and are smaller than the Patriot, which makes them able to go places other vehicles can't. If you are planning on purchasing either, you may want to do a little research on both the vehicles and see what your personal preference is.

Yes I also would say the wrangler is not only far better then the patriot but one of the best off road vehicle you could buy. Some people like the the hummer (too big and too expensive for my taste) and some like the old broncos as well. but you can't go wrong with the wrangler.

If you want the best offroad vehicle buy the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and get the front and rear lockers. The Jeep Patriot is more of a luxury SUV than an offroad vehicle.

Wrangler if you want to off road. Patriot is based off the Dodge Caliber so its a car and will drive like one.
