Heck, I thought Ike was robbed vs. De La Hoya. The only person I've seen legitimately beat him is Vargas. I've been a Quartey booster ever since he beat Crisanto Espana (whom I thought had a bright future ahead of him).
Ike has one of the best left hands I've seen in awhile. Now if we could just get him to stop slapping with that right and put some torque into it....

Ike was robbed he was the agressor through the fight and landed more punches. Forrest tired and didnt do anything to win the fight. Vernon didnt want it Bazooka did.
But at the same time both fighters are not at A level anymore they are maybe B or C fighters. They both should retire.

Ike clearly beat Forrest and got robbed. Like Smitty says, boxing isn't like going to church, sometimes it's simply questionable if not outright criminal. Pernell Whitaker has been the victim of some of the worst decisions the blogbaba has ever seen. I stood right there and watched Pea win eight of twelve and score a knockdown over Oscar DeLa Hoya and somehow the judges gave the fight to DeLa Hoya. It was worse than the draw he got for winning ten of twelve against Chavez. Far and away the worst decision I ever saw was when a guy named Dave Tiberi beat the daylights out of James Toney, won all twelve rounds by wide margins and still lost the decision. It happens, it's almost expected to happen, and the public enjoys the outrage almost as much as the fight itself. Boxing is sometimes as corrupt as any other business, what are you going to do? Life isn't perfect.

IT WAS A CLOSE FIGHT THAT COULD HAVE GONE EITHER WAY.
P.S. I HAVE SAID THIS BEFORE ROBBERY IS AS COMMON IN BOXING AS IT IS EVERYDAY ON THE STREETS OF AMERICA.
