Some people who claim to be Christian are not living thier lives in the way a true Christian is commanded to live. So they will have to answer for themselves before God. Jesus himself said that there would be those who professed to do his will, who really wouldn't be. Matthew 7:21-23

Your question very vague, however, Christians are accountable to the laws of the land, and accountable to the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. I tell you this if anyone is violating tha local municipal laws or state or federal laws, and calls themselves a Christian they are not.
I really can't go much farther than that given the broadness of your question.

No. But it would be nice to see some of the Christians stand up to those other Christians who abuse the name.... I just don't see that happening too often, so it appears that the Christians who choose to remain silent about their actions are in agreement with it.

Only God knows the Heart of a man. To say that you know exactly why someone does or says someone is pretty silly. We can guess by getting to know that person what their intentions are... we can "judge their fruit" ei look at their actions and see if they aline with scripture as how a christian should act or speak. But I have to say that human beings seem to have an infinite abilty to screw things up in some way shape of from. So it is best not to judge the religion by the people who follow it cuz well people screw up... judge the actual teachings and actual writings. know when someone is going against their own holy scripture... helps alot to know the pretenders from the real deal.

We are constantly reacting to what others do and say that it is in the name of Jesus.
It is not right but it is what happens. Anyone can do anything and say that it is in the name of Jesus but the fact is this, in his eyes it is not glorified and never will be when someone kills others. This is not what Christ as called us to do. SO anytime some crazy person does something horrible and says that it is in the name of Christ we will be punished and get the back lash.
My faith is strong enough to take it and my God is bigger then anything the can say to hurt me

Jesus told a story of three servants who received instructions from the same master. The master went away. When he came back, he wanted to know how the servants did (Matt. 25). He treated each servant differently, based on his performance. When he called a servant wicked and lazy, it did not change the status of the other servants, who were called good and faithful.
So, in a general sense, each of us will answer for our own actions, not the actions of others.

Are you referring to answering to God for what others have done? Absolutely not. It is up to a Christian to answer to God for what they (themselves) have done, but what others have done is not something we have to answer for (or ask about).
We also do not need to answer for it to humans.. as what others do "in the name of Jesus" is still what they, themselves are doing.. not what WE are doing. (such as in the case of, say some tv preacher that does wrong.. I (and other Christians) do not have to answer for what he has done wrong.. only he must answer for that).
All that being said.. Everyone is a sinner and falls short of the glory of God.. But we can be forgiven :)

I'm glad somebody finally asked this. And yet, I'm not a Christian. There is too much "group think" these days. People need to start to think for themselves and have their own convictions.
We're becoming a nation of idiots and jelleyfish.

No. The Bible says to "work out your OWN salvation with fear and trembling." We are not responsible for the sins OR the salvation of one another. We are merely to witness, love, and care for our fellow man in the spiritual sense and physical sense wherever possible. We cannot sacrifice ourselves for them or they for us for the cause of salvation.
