This may sound wierd, but my brother-in-law is graduating college and he asked for a huge red gummy spider. I found a recipe to make gummy bears but I have no clue how to make a jello mold. Can anyone help me? I would really appreciate it.

I'd look up a Jello website to see if they have a ready made mold to your liking. You might also find one in a crafts store or online. That would be the easiest, by far. But, if you can't, then you might want to consider some non-toxic plastic that can be shaped according to what you need and used in food prep. If that fails, then you can cut the appropriate shapes and attempt to "seal" them by melting the edges together with a creme brulee torch and refrigerating.

Orange/Vanilla Jello Mold

Ingredients:
(3 ounce) package orange Jell-O
1 cup hot water
1 pint softened vanilla ice cream
1 (11 ounce) can drained mandarin oranges
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple (fresh pineapple CANNOT be used because it will not allow the jello to set)
6 maraschino cherries, cut in 1/2
2 ounces chopped walnuts

Steps:
1. Mix jello with water.

2. Whip ice cream into jello mixture.

3. Add oranges, pineapple, nuts and cherries.

4. Mix well.

5. Pour into lightly greased mold-or- glass server dish (I use a large brandy sniffer).

6. Refrigerate till firm and unmold, if necessary.

Good luck!
