My boyfriend isn't a swimmer or anything like that, but he insists on shaving his body hair: his chest, his back, his arms, his legs, and his pubic region. Sometimes, but not always, he gets his nails trimmed and cleaned at the shop. It makes me feel more manly than him and it puts me in an awkward place in our relationship. I do love him, but I kind of find it disgusting. I want a man. I know he's FAAAAAR from gay because our nights are wonderful. Can anybody please help me out with this problem?

He's meterosexual. No problems there. He's a guy that likes to look good.
My boyfriend shaves his chest. I thought it was weird at first, but it is kind of nice to have that nice smooth chest. Maybe he just hates body hair, some people do, and wants to be rid of it.
Talk to him if it really freaks you out that much.. just tell him it does. Maybe he'll tell you why he does it or modify his routine to keep some body hair.

Talk with him and tell him that it bothers you. Maybe you can get him to stop doing this so that you won't have to stop seeing him.
I know a guy that shaves his arms/chest and back, I don't know if he shaves his legs or private parts since we are only friends. And no he isn't a swimmer either, he just hates all the hair. He is totally straight and way cute too, he's been married twice before and he has both a son and a daughter. He really has a ton of hair and it totally bothers him for some reason or another.
Personally I didn't see any thing wrong with the hair, he's way too sexy. Maybe you need to let your man know that you love the way he looks with out all the shaving, reinforce it and assure him that he looks great even with the hair.
Be kind and at least try to get him to see that every thing is just find, and that you love him just the way he is. Maybe some one said some thing and it embarrassed him, so he felt like he needed to do some thing about it.

No, that it no longer weird. I am 24 years ancient and i call myself a 'hair developing monster.' I shave all my body hair additionally. Alot of fellows consider much less positive, and aren't joyful with their lloks while being covered in physique hair. It feels extra secure to be hair free, and makes me think more constructive. I will probably be sincere with you, i do not like how I appear included in body hair. I've heard that there are modeling businesses that require guy units to shave. Some guys have a gene that they inhereted that they do not grow body hair besides for the hair on the highest of their heads.....I desire I was once like that.

Interesting. I did this with my wife. After being married for about 18 years I did the same thing with my wife. I did a switch just to see how I would like it. I shaved and trimmed my body hair. Started wearing a new type of underwear. She was positive I was seeing another woman but it was just a change I wanted. Maybe it was called a mid life crises but I love how I am now.

Understand that if a previous girlfriend wanted him to shave everything he now has not choice but to... Think of it. When you shave your legs and the hair grows back it does not feel right. It is the same for a guy when they shave. If he did it once he has to keep doing it. Maybe he was a swimmer in school. If he was again he does not have much of a choice but to keep doing it.

I don't know what to tell you on that one but if it makes you feel any better my ex bf used to shave his chest the day I would go see him and then wouldn't for the rest of the time that I was with him...My friends and I had an inside joke about it where we called him P.A.T., which stands for Prickly Ape ****...Yeah, it was pretty gross so perhaps this will make you feel better or at least give ya a laugh. Maybe you should try talking to him about it though and if that doesn't work, consider what is more important to you...loving a man despite things that you see as flaws or giving up on love because of one flaw. I know that it is probably frustrating to you since you don't like it but he could have far worse habits then constantly taking care of himself. Good luck and take care :)

If you watch the TV series ROME, ALL the best gladiators and tough guy soldiers shaved their body hair as a fashion and a cleanliness thing. It worked for them, but disgusting? Well at least you aren't dating a Yettie!
Talk about it to him. Everybody is a bit weird in this world. Depends how much weird you want and how much our own propensities clash.

I know a lot of guys like that. You need to let him know that the reason you are attracted to him is because he's a MAN. Just tell him that you think hair on men is kind of sexy and it would turn you on if he had some! That should do it.

It's not a problem, more of a preference. It's common for some people not to like hair, some find it cleaner. It's likely he'd be able to negotiate with you. But be prepared as this may take you shaving in order to avoid him not doing so.
