Do you think god would be mad that I said I wanted a toil hat for when the rapture happens? I don't believe in him but some do and think I mocked him.....

God is entirely what you make him/her out to be. Every religion has its own vision of "god" and nobody can say which is right or wrong, just as nobody can say what any god thinks or feels. You may have mocked that other person's god, but you have the right to believe in the god of your choice and your interpretation of what that god believes or thinks. "God" exists in my opinion to help us understand how to act in a civilized and humane way. Every religion's version of god reflects lessons that teach people how to live life. Without these religious frameworks, killing, torture, rape, stealing, etc., could be OK on one street and not OK on the next. Religion and god help unify all people around a loosely defined but mostly consistent set of "rules" that keep the people of this world from anarchy.
So, your god is inside you. Look there and the answer to your question will become quite clear!
