This is bull dookey. Smoke said that Nascar was staging the races and that they were fixed because of the cautions for debris . Now Nascar officials are pissed at Smoke and won't let him unload his car at Dega until he meets with an official in the Nascar hauler. WTF???WTF?? I'm PISSED! If they don't let him race, it's so wrong!!! And I'm not even a Smoke fan, but I may turn into one after this BS!

He is such a tough guy that the moment he got confronted by Nascar officials, he tucked his tail between his legs, changed his story and then said sorry. Maybe he should go sit in the corner for the time beign and think about how stupid his initial comments really were.

Well when you race in nascar you do what they want or go home they don't really care either way but you can rest assured if they bench a driver of smokes caliber all h*ll will break lose with the fans and nascar doesn't want to piss its fans of . I am a smoke fan and he is by far the most talented driver in any race car he gets in he can drive anything with weels on it. But nascar does make the rules and you don't bite the hand that feeds you.

I am also a huge smoke fan. I like him specifically because he speaks his mind, especially in situations like this. However, over the course of his career Nascar has seemed to take the opinion that "tony's opinion is just that, an opinion" and unless he hits another car or another driver then it is just his personal views. None of the drivers really like the COT but they are just being honest and nascar hasn't done anything to them. BY the way, suspending him for a race would rank as one of the harsher penalties nascar has levied for any violation at all. Since usually they just fine drivers and maybe suspend them.

I have to agree with Tony to a point.
I have seen a couple of races where it looked like Mark or Dale jr might win and Nascar would throw out the black flag or hold them back a lap for speeding down pit road and Bam, Jeff Gordon would win. or someone who they favored.
I think GM has a big hand in the sport because when it goes to Charlotte NC , GM pays for alot of the festivities etc.

I think they should change it to Nafcar instead of Nascar. it would be for. National association of Fabricated car racing.
Those aint stock cars and we know it.

I wish ARCA or SCCA would bring back real stock car racing. (modified street versions of the cars people drive)

You might not know it but a few years ago Nascar admitted that , if they don't have a variety of winners, they lose fans!
That's what I heard.

Ford was the winningest brand but the pulled out for a few years in the late seventies and came back in the early eightys with Bill Elliot setting the fastest lap at Talledega, over 225 miles per hour, no restricter plate. The car was a 1983 Thunderbird , real body panels,

Smoke's temper still gets the best of him at times. Daytona last year is a prime example. He still has the ability to do some really, really stupid things in the "heat of battle".

He's better about it than he used to be. And that fire and passion is part of what makes him such a good driver. But like it or not, he is racing in an organization that has rules, and if he wants to race, he has to abide by the rules. And he has to take responsibility for the consequences of his actions.

If he doesn't like it, he can start his own league where he can make up his own rules.

Tony has always pushed the envelope of what NASCAR will tolerate from him and this time he crossed the line. I do NOT support Smoke on this one. What would they do in baseball, basketball or football in a situation like this. The person making such bold accusations would be ejected, suspended and/or fined. The NFL didn't put up with T O's crap and NASCAR won't put up with Smoke's.

I agree that a caution for a garbage bag was stupid, If it gets in your grill, deal with it as if it was a hotdog wrapper. Metal debris way off the race track were they don't run is stupid too, if a car gets off the race groove and runs over the metal debris, there must of been something wrong with the car to be down there to begin with, unless it's near the pit entrance. It being fixed????? No. To many caution I agree with Stewart. BUT DOES HE HAVE TO BE SUCH A BABY ABOUT IT!!!! He's the only one that cries about things like that. He didn't loose the race cause of cautions. He lost cause Gordon was faster near the end. If there were more laps, Hamlin would of past him. 2 weeks in a row he's been all choked up. Talked about retiring???Retire Cry baby. Nascar won't quite because you did. Earnhardt died and Nascar moved on, they won't care if you leave. Whew..... Got that of my chest, feel better now,ty.

You know, one has to be responsible for one's actions. While I would agree that he is entitled to his opinions, NASCAR as an entity has been pretty good to him. Most times working from within the system pays bigger benefits in the long run than work from outside. Guess Tony found that out today.

They did what??? I am a HUGE smoke fan. What the truth hurts NASCAR. What he said was on his radio show--the one place he has to vent about nascar. They darn well better let him race, or they will lose alot of fans------including me. No one likes hendrick cars anyways. I WILL ALWAYS BE A SMOKE FAN NO MATTER WHAT HE SAYS OR DOES. BUT THE ONLY REASON HE APOLOGIZED IS BECAUSE THEY PROBABLY TOLD HIM HE COULDNT RACE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. HE IS POINTS RACING, HE CANT AFFORD NOT TO RACE, BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW HE WILL GET ON A ROLL AND KICK EVERYONE'S A** ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP. JEFF GORDON IS DONE, HE WILL NEVER WIN ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP, HEY THERE'S SOMEONE WHO NEEDS TO RETIRE. HE DID NOT TUCK HIS TAIL BETWEEN HIS LEGS AND BACKTRACK WHAT HE SAID, WE ALL KNOW ITS NASCAR/HENDRICK WHO SAYS WHAT GOES AND WHO WINS.
