I am looking to take childs sports photos. I have already sold a package to an old friend that i had taken with my EasyShare but am looking to move up to DSLR. I have a great eye and just need to know from a pic. quality standard, which would be the best camera of these: Sony Alpha Kit, 10.2 mp, no stabilization-Canon XT kit, 8 mp no stabilization- Olympus EVOLT kit , 8mp with stabilization, or the NikonD40x kit, 10.2 mp no stabilization... The largest photo i offer is an 11x14...

You're ruling out some VERY attractive options.
Of these 3 however, I'd get the Rebel XT.

The D40X has the 10 MP you'll need for 11x14 prints, but it only has 3 AF points and it won't work with a few mid-price Nikon lenses that I'd personally find of interest for sports photography.

The Sony, with it's Konica Minolta mount, lacks an attractive selection of lenses, period. The Sony 70-200 f/2.8 costs about $2300. At that price, your savings on the A100 body become a joke. The Canon and Nikon versions of this lens cost less than $1700.

So that leaves the Canon. Of the three, it's your best choice. Even though it only has 8 MP, it's a good camera and you'll have a wide selection of lenses. My only gripe with the dRebel line is the plasticky feel and the fact that they're so small. If you can afford a bit more, strongly consider the Rebel XTi. It has a few extras such as a 10 MP sensor and a faster and more accurate AF system. In fact, it has the same AF sysem as the semi-pro Canon 30D. The discontinued Canon 20D is another option. It still sells for $900 retail and it delivers 8 MP with 5 FPS vs. 3. The 20D is perfect for sports.
With any Canon, the $560 Canon 70-200 f/4 makes an attractive starter lens for sports.

I'll recommend the samsung NV3 camera it's very convenient and easy to use it is 7.2 megapixel camera and it is not only for taking picture it has text viewer, portable media player, mp3 and much more it has 3x optical zoom. Actually I own this kind of camera it is very slim and stylish and It does'nt cost that much. Try to research for it again Samsung NV3.
