Please get professional help. I have been there, and it is not fun. There is hope and help, you just have to find it. Start with your local hospital or primary care doctor and go from there. Sometimes you need meds to get over the hump. That doesn't mean that you will need them forever, I didn't. At the same time, who cares if you do? If it is improving the quality of your life, that's all that matters.

Like many psychological syndromes, the term OCD doesn't really tell you what's going on -it is just a label for something. But I'd lean heavily in favor of the idea that the OCD behavior is really a manifestation of something ELSE that's happening or has happened in your life. Tracking THAT down can be a problem and probably will require talk therapy. Meanwhile, certain drugs may help interrupt the cycle. But none of this helps you right this moment.

What you can do right this moment is to recognize the problem and not be too self-critical about it. Have the B/F pick something up or better yet, the 2 of you make dinner at home. Monday -you go see your family doc and get busy working on this very annoying problem.

You will prevail.

Let them tell u how much u mean to them n etc. I m sure ur bf,friends and family wud like to help.remember this u r special the way u are, rewashing ur hair and face wudnt make much difference in the way u r.The fact that u have a bf shows tat someone loves and likes the way u r. So be happy. try to get motivated. as i dun have enough details, i cant say anything more specifically. If its is serious..there are series of treatment that u can get. This is a serious medical condition - you need to get treatment urgently. OCD gets worse the longer you leave it untreated. You sound young - you should be able to recover pretty soon. [My sister has it.] By the way, it can take many different forms, from obsessively counting things to being terrified of germs to fixating upon one part of your body.

check with a counsel or have a few friends over and see if one could help style and fix hair, baby lotion works great on the face and seeing and feeling the softness might do you a world of good my compulsive disorder is scratching my self when i get a erg to correct a family member and i take their correction out on myself, and cry when another is hurt.

Have you ever been to therapy? With OCD, you should be seeing someone, especially if it is hindering your daily functioning. It takes a lot of work and a good amount of time to get it under control though.
