i think being a hairstylist is great!!! i went thru the training myself, altho i`m not currently working in the field...i worked at a salon in london, it was great because it was a very lively, fun atmosphere!!! it`s nice, especially if u have a bit of a creative streak in u, & can imagine how u can help a person make the most of their appearance...!!!

It can be kind of difficult unless you're very talented. If you have a true passion for hair, then go for it, usually those are the people who succeed the most in the industry.

go to http://www.bls.gov/search/ooh.asp?ct=OOH it tells you the job expectancy for the next 20 years, the average pay, conditions of work- everything. Its a government website, it really helped me choose my career in nursing.
