I think God is trying to guide me to do his work but I'm stuck in my sinful nature. How do I break out once and for all?

Of course you're weak! We all are and that's the good news! Jesus said, "Apart from Me you can do nothing!" That's great news because He doesn't expect you to be able to do His will. The key to the Christian life is not trying to be a "good Christian" by your own effort. It entering into His rest - resting from trying to please God out of your own strength - and trusting Him who is in you to life His life through you!
It's like Dwight Edwards said in his book Revolution Within - "The Christian life isn't hard, it's impossible!"
And I also like what Bob George said in his Classic Christianity book - "He (Jesus) gave His life for us, so He could give His life to us, so He could live His life through us!"

We all fail when we try - that's why we came to Christ because we realized we are poor in spirit and we need Him to live through us.
I'd highly recommend reading through Hebrews in a translation you can understand. It talks about entering into God's rest. That's when you put your confidence in Him and you can stop trying to be a Christian by your own efforts.
God Bless you!!

Someone told me once that God does not call the equipped,. He equips the called. You say He is still calling you, even though you are week and seem to be stuck in your sinful nature. With Christ we CAN be new creatures, however, it is not automatic. We have to look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, to help us live day by day clothed in His righteousness. He still is calling you, heed His call- when you take that first step He will guide you the rest of the way. Paul even after his conversion realized that what he wanted to do he didn't, and what he shouldn't do he still did- but he also realized that God was making him into the person that He created him to be- just like you- remember God is faithful!!Do not concentrate on your weakness, concentrate on His strength. Remember when Peter fell in the water when he was walking toward Jesus?_ When he looked away from Him.

Everyone has the potential to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, but one must be repentant of their sins and turn their course around by applying the truths in the Bible and by coming to an accurate knowledge of him and God.

John 17:3 - "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."

The more you start to do something the easier it becomes to do it ,try it gradually god knows your heart people think once the become christian that they automatically forfit everything by their own will not so,just like a baby in christ the more you grow the more you grow into him and the habits of christ,so your punny in him now but gradually you'll start to stop yourself from eating the wrong things because like muscles you'll start to see the results and then take it more seriously.hope this helps God bless!

homeboy god has delivered us from sin. Sin is not the problem. see many people think that since they sin too much that they cant do gods work. that is not the case. you can do gods work because you have faith in him and you are covered by the blood of jesus. hey continue to have faith follow him, do his will and he will take your sinfull nature away from you garunteed. for right now dont worry about not sinning it is in mans nature to sin because we are covered in flesh. but worry about gods work. and say what im saying to you to other new believers who think they are going through the same problem. dont worry about sin we got christs blood for that but follow his word and his will. it will alll be good. fight for christ brother

If God calls you to do something, he will give you the strength and capability to do it. You will always have a sinful nature and serving God does not mean you will never sin.

If you really feel the Calling, Pray that you will have the strengh to break all your weaknesses. If the call is for real, your prayer will be answered. So, do you believe Lord Jesus is calling you? If you really believe in him then pray hard because without the help of the Lord, it is very difficult for us human to fight the evil. So, do you really want to pray for it? If you do, Thats call Faith.

Jesus is not talking to you. You are talking to yourself and are conflicted about what you want from life and what you are here for. Are your so-called "sins" simply labels someone else has applied to what you enjoy, or are they self-destructive habits that are harmful to everyone including yourself. You have to discern this. Get help if you are destructive. Follow your bliss if you are not. You'll be shown the way to contribute to the world.

God doesn't exist. Jesus, if he existed, is a dead guy.

You are not stuck in a "sinful nature". Sin is an outdated concept. You are stuck in a human nature, and you don't want to break out of that.

You are not alone! Matthew 26:41 says "Keep on the watch and pray continually, that you may not enter into tetmptation. The spirit, of course, is eager, but the flesh is weak." Also, the apostle Paul had conflict between his mind & his flesh! His experience & struggle was recorded at Romans chapter 7. Verses 14 - 25, though, says "For we know that the Law is spiritual; but I am fleshly, sold under sin. For what I am working out I do not know. For what I wish, this I do not practice; but what I hate is what I do. However, if what I do not wish is what I do, I agree that the Law is fine. But now the one working it out is no longer I, but sin that resides in me. For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, there dwells nothing good; for ability to wish is present with me, but ability to work out what is fine is not [present]. For the good that I wish I do not do, but the bad that I do not wish is what I practice. If, now, what I do not wish is what I do, the one working it out is no longer I, but the sind dwelling in me. I find, then this law in my case: that when I wish to do what is right, what is bad is present with me. I really delight in the law of God according to the man I am within, but I behold in my members another law warring against the law of my min and leading me captive to sin's law that is in my members. Miserable man that I am! Who will rescue me from the body undergoing this death? Thanks to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So, then, with [my] mind I myself am a slave to God's law, but with [my] flesh to sin's law."
