I take 800 mg Ibuprofen for cramps. I was going to take it while I was on the phone but I got caught up in the conversation and now I can't remember if I took one. Stupid, I know. lol But my question is, if I already took one, would it hurt me to take another one? I don't think I took it already but don't want to take any chances on dying or something. lol Thanks!

It won't kill you, however you are likely to get stomach cramps and vomit as a result.

be careful not to cut yourself in the next couple of hours b/c if you ahve already taken them you will have a serious bleeding problem.

It you are asthmatic - dont even think about it- it can trigger an attack

always take ibprofen with food to reduce the possiblity of stomach bleeding

I take 1600 mg of Ibuprofen all the time for bad headaches -- no problem. I weigh about 250 lbs, though. Unless you weigh less than 100 lbs, I wouldn't worry about taking an extra 800 mg.

That's one of the good things about Ibuprofen: the lethal dose is waaaayyyyy up there (my doctor has confirmed this notion).

Now... if it was acetaminophen (Tylenol) that's another story -- I'd say definitely *not* to take another dose.

On an 800 mg Dose , No don't take another if there's a change you alreay took one. It could possibly at best cause alot of GI discomfort and at worst cause a stomache bleed

Instead take a 500mg Tylenol tabet every 6 hours as needed

Advil and Tylenol are safe to take within a few hours of each other

You won't die - just don't make it a habit. Once your body gets used to 1600mg, then the 800mg will not do anything for the pain.
If you still have cramps, do take another one. If you're really worried, wait an hour or so.

i don't think it will hurt you if you do overlap them one time. several times a day, could be bad. once, probably not a problem.
