I would see your doctor first. If it's not a medical problem and just a high metabolism, try gaining the weight healtfully. Drink Ensure 3 or 4 times a day. Add some olive oil to your food. Put cheese on your vegetables. Drink juice instead of water. Hope this helps!

You probably were blessed with fast metabolism, which is partly genetic and partly due to being young. I'm assuming you're under 21, and many people find that they can eat whatever they want and not gain a pound up into their late teens/ early twenties. However, I have some bad news for you- most people's metabolism slows down significantly as they hit 25 or so, and they find themselves suddenly gaining weight even though their eating habits haven't changed. Some people are just naturally thin and stay that way throughout their lives, but most of us have to work a little harder at watching our weight after our mid-twenties. My advice: enjoy it while you can!

It could be the high metabolism rate that you have. Also, the food that you ate could be akaline food - veggie, fruits, non-fat stuff.
Its more important to be in good health regardless of your shape. I have seen skinny friends when they were teens and up to mid 20s and then pile up weight after they turn 30. This is because our metabolism rate slows down with age.

There is such a thing as a skinny fat person. Just because you're small in size doesn't mean you're healthy. If you don't eat healthy foods your body fat percentage could be very high even though you're thin.

Some people just have a high metabolism. They can eat anything and not gain an ounce. Maybe you're one of them.

There are several body types: Endomorph, Ectomorph and Mesomorph. It sounds to me like you are an Ectomorph.
There is plenty of helpful information at this site:
