I haven;t heard anything about that. I don;t think that this could happen for some times even if we do "win" the war I think it will be a while before that happens, it's just not a safe place for them to send missionaries yet, I think we may want to start with China.
But I do look forward to the day that we can send missionaries there.

I find that most people are not sufficiently critical and aggressive when debating a point. The kindest and most polite way to respond to an argument is to make up your own. That has the unfortunate consequence of presenting the audience or your readers with two lines of argumentation from which they can choose... that's very weak, rhetorically speaking. It's much more powerful to draw from the analysis of your opponent and provide a synthetic argument. However, it's also much harder. There are many positions from the right that rests upon a rationalist approach or economic models such as that of pure and perfect competition. Tell me, how many people know how these frameworks are built, upon which assumptions they rest or what sort of epistemological positions they entail? Very few... so, the debates you see or read about aren't debates. They're simultaneous monologues where two or more people speak their mind without listening to what the other has to say -- and, in the end, members of the audience picks the one they already agreed with. All the above means is that you're a right-winger, not that they are peculiarly good at debating -- and you can verify my claim since my pretension is that a leftist would feel the opposite.

Mormon Missionaries are sent around the world into countries that are open and let us in. So after the war, if the Iraqi government is willing to accept Missionaries, and President Hinkley is prompted to send our brothers and sisters over, than we will have Missionaries in Iraqi.

It's when God decides to open it. Not necessarily when the war ends although that would help.
Have a good day! :)
*EDIT* The Irreverand: My Father is a Mormon and he's leaving for Iraq in a few months and he's been there before on assignment. He's in the US Army.

My Fathers Uncle is with the State Department and LDS. There is a small branch that has been formed in Baghdad of about 20 people. As for Missionaries, once a stable government has been formed I'm sure they will be welcome.

Sorry I am not mormon. But it would be foolish to send missionaries to Iraq from any religion. Do you people not understand that they do not like you over there? Are you all Morons? The kill christians, jews, each other, hindus, buhdists, and especially stupid mormons.

That depends entirely on the Iraqi government, it's still an Islamic government, so I'm not sure they'll allow for proselytizing - either way, we'll respect their laws on the matter.

They would send missionaries to Iraq if it were safe and the government were to welcome them.
