My boyfriend who I have known since October is graduating this year. In two months he wont be in this school anymore. I have cried because of this fact. Because I will miss him. I didnt want to fall in love with him and I did and know I havbe to deal with not seeing him all the time now. He is going to a school in New York City which is not that far away but still its a state away from me. I dont know what I am going to do without seeing his face every day. He keeps me sain while a lot of guys dont. He is my best friend and when he leaves me I am going to be heart broken. He said our relationship doesnt have to be over. I have cried the past two weeks and I am just so sad and confused right now. What should I do?

awwww hun, i can totally relate. my best friend (a guy) is graduating this year, and when he does, he'll be going to university in my city, but i'll rarely talk to him anymore - this scares the heck out of me (and has made me cry myself to sleep for many a night) because right now we talk appoximately 3-6 hours a day (no joke). we've gotten so close over the past year, and it's hard to imagine him not being around. then when i graduate, i'm moving to a different city, and we won't be remotely together. it's a frightening situation i know, because i love my friend sooooooo very much, and it kills me to think that i'm going to lose him. all you can do is hope - be supportive, call him, show him you care about his life, visit him when you can, make 'dates' every so often - use email, msn, instant messaging systems, ANYTHING so that you don't lose your connections. and when it looks like all hope is lost, pray. that's the best thing you can do...but if you have a really good relationship with him, you have to trust that your friendship and your love will be able to conquer anything - even distance. my prayers are with you - good luck :)

This is not the point to be broken hearted, it will be when he stops calling because he has found someone new. Save the tears for then.

Long distance relationship don't work, someone is always crushed by them. Take this for what it is, a new chapter in your life. Find someone new and you will be even happier, it always works that way.

wow im in da same prediciment as you, we started goin out oct 26 but he is graduating, but da colllege he is goin to is about a good bit away...how do i deal wit it? you have to remember there is always the fone and the computer to communicate...this will onlii make the relationship stronger when yall kno dat yall got each otha trust.. and der is the holidays and most weekends.....the thing about college is they get loooonnng brake, so when he comes down it will be more special than it normally is when you see him everyday...so jus think this as an test...an experience...that you jus have to fight thru to concure......good luck, and god bless

If it's meant to be- it will be. I know that sounds silly right now, but when you mature- you will understand. If he said the relationship didn't have to end, take him at his word. Long distance relationships are hard, but if it's supposed to happen, it will!!! TRUST ME!
