You need to let him have his space. Neither of you I'm sure want to be smothered in the relationship. I'm also sure that you have friends that you can hang out with when your boyfriend is busy.
But let him know that you need some "us" time and if he cant understand that or he is always busy then you have to make a choice on whether you want to be in a lonely relationship where you are the only one that's making an effort to make it work.

Try to deal with it in a mature manner try to set up a time that is convient for the both of you and tell him how you feel. If he does not try to work things out so that you can see him more then It seems to me that he does not want to be with you.

I would do things you like to do, and include your girlfriends in those activities. The second he sees you are having a great time without him, and don't need his company to have fun, his entire attitude will change.
He'll stop taking you for granted tout suite!

hang out with YOUR girlfriends....get busy yourself. you may meet someone else who has time for you or he'll straighten up if he realizes what it feels like to be in a relationship where there's no quality time....
