He might not be an officer much longer, either. It is one thing to look back on plans and expose flaws in the plan or the assumptions or the execution of said plan.

But when you throw around phrases like "intellectual and moral failures" of generals, that goes beyond appropriate behavior, and into the realm of insubordinate behavior. Very unprofessional. He should be "cashiered" (discharged) for his cavalier statements.

Doesn't sound like he'll even make full bird. Wouldn't be surprised to hear of his impending "retirement" soon.
