I have a 1yr old that I carry around, do crafts, lift heavy boxes at work in spurts. It's almost like spasms sometimes, but mainly a mild tingle from tip almost to my wrist at times. Ibuprofren or massage hasn't helped. My left thumb gets that way too, but no where near as often or bad.

repetitive motion causes this condition which is carpal tunnel syndrome. Try soaking your hand in hot water twice daily to give the muscles relaxation.

I recommend you see a doctor of chiropractic medicine, before You go the medical route. I've enclosed a link where you can find a qualified chiropractor in your area.

If this doesn't work you must see a medical doctor. The only resolution would be surgery. I've known many people to have the surgery and it has given their use of the hands back.

It sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome. It is caused by repetetive motion.I work in a shipyard and quite a few people develop it from doing the same thing over and over. Check w/ a doctor. It doesn't get better, only worse.

With a 1 year old to care for I would go straight to the Doctor, as you have another 18 years of care to give!
