If you don't want the meds that they now have for this problem, try tonic water before bed it has quinine (think that's the spelling) in it which will help.

I would try talking to your doctor about some type of medication to take for RLS. I take Mirapex which almost completely resolves mine. I know that there is also a medication called Requip that helps other people too, I haven't tried it, but have heard that ti works well.

I have found that it helps to exercise in the evening. I don't tend to have the restless symptoms when I have tired my legs out within a few hours of bedtime.

RLS is an unconscious thing. You can try taking a hot bath, or stretching, but it won't help much. I just started taking Requip and it works great....I haven't slept this good in years.

my husband has this. he drinks cranberry juice mixed with tonic water before bed and it really helps out. something @ the cranberry juice helps the restlessness. try that and some tylenol before bed. also, a hot bath works along with the cranberry juice. on really bad nights, i message his legs a little. thats my advice!!! good luck!!

I take requip which seems to help a lot. Ask your doctor for a prescription.

They have medication to treat this. Go to the doc and discuss with him/her.

i have it, my dad has it, my g ma has it...i am on requip, thats really the only thing that helps besides massaging them.
