When my cats were born, a month later they developed colds and something like sore eyes, and usually have some morning stars in their eyes, you know, like the one's we have in our eyes when we wake up in the morning, but a lot more than that. I thought it would be alright because its mother was caring for the two of them. I didn't mind much. About another month later the cats wanted to go out of the house, so I let them go out during the day, and then I would put them in when it got dark. A week later they started to have soft, watery stool and aren't as big as before. There are some pet shops with veterinarians here in my province but they will not give you advice unless you buy their medicines, but they're way too expensive. I just need to know what to do. If I need to buy medicines, I have to know the names and other things I have to do. Please help me...

You need to have this checked professionally - by a vet - but I'll bet they'll find out your cats have parasites. The treatment for that is a pretty simple oral medication, but which one may depend on the specific parasite. Take your cats and stool samples to a vet. They can asses the problem and fix it far faster and easier than your trying all sorts of stuff you buy at a shop.

The eye thing was an eye cold and should have gotten treated with medication. The colds could have killed them and should have been treated with medication. I f both of these are still going on, untreated this is a big problem, they need vet care today. Plus you're letting them outside. ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL THESE CATS? Come on man, this is absurd. From the time line that you’ve given these cats should be about 9 weeks old. At this age mom has stopped nursing them. What are they eating? If you’re letting them out of the house there is no way to say what they’ve eaten. Maybe they got into some poison, maybe some radiator fluid, maybe they ate a toxic plant or animal. You’re not going to have a clue what the problem is. PLEASE keep the kittens indoors. Watch what they are eating, and the way they are acting. These cats need to go to the vet for shots and to be fixed anyway. If you can’t care for them then turn them over to the local shelter.

I'm also a veterinary technician. I echo what the previous vet assistant said. You definitely need to get those kittens in to see a vet, and Mom too. The kittens need to be examined IN PERSON to know for sure what is going on. Further, it would be unethical and even illegal for an on-line veterinarian to give you [prescriptions (if that's what you're looking for). On-line veterinary sites are helpful sources of information concerning conditions that you KNOW your pets have, but they should not be used IN PLACE of a veterinarian's exam. If you or your child were sick, would you go on-line, or would you go to the doctor?
Now as for the kittens and Mom, get them in-- the kittens for exams and treatment, and Mom to be spayed so she doesn't have any more kittens. If you aren't going to do that, at LEAST be a good cat neighbor and keep them indoors at all times, so they aren't spreading disease and more kittens that won't be taken care of around the neighborhood. Better yet, take them all to an animal shelter. Let them have a chance to get adopted by someone who will be RESPONSIBLE enough to care for them properly.

Most online veterinary guides will tell you that they don't substitute for the real thing - going to a vet.
A vet will need to do vital statistics on the animals - weighing them (the weight increase or decrease can tell the doctor a lot), physically touching them and seeing them. Something an online service can not do. They can have an infection, parasites, worms, disease. They will need tests performed and that can only be done at a veterinarian's office.
You will need to take them to the vet or surrender them to the shelter so that they can get the medical attention they need.

Cat's do not get 'colds'. It sounds very much like your cats have cat 'flu. This is characterized by one or all of the following symptoms:
+ snuffly breathing
+ runny nose
+ discharge from eyes, nose and/or mouth
+ sore/runny/closed up eyes.
These are all symptons of other infectious feline diseases such as FIP (feline infectious peritonitis).
There's not much point going to a vet if you're not going to buy their meds. Proper drugs are ONLY available from vets - petshops are not licensed to sell proper treatment, only general sales stuff.
Please take the cats to a vet. You cannot get diagnoses online, because animals need to be examined to find out what is wrong. If you there was some kind of 'do it yourself' guide online there would be no point vets existing would there!
No one can give you names of drugs to treat these cats - a) we don't know what the illness is and b) you need a prescription to get any proper medication. Yes, veterinary medication is expensive - it costs the drug companies to develop and produce these medicines, and obviously vets have to make a profit out of them or they wouldn't be able to run their business - they have bills and salaries to pay you know!
Treating animals is a complicated and difficult business - this is why vets spend years in med school to be able to do it, and why it's not just a do-it-yourself jobbie.

There are online vet sites where you can get some questions answered... BUT...
if the cats are sick, most vets won't want to tell you how to home treat to save yourself the cost of a vet visit. It's an unrealistic expectation on your part.
If you cannot afford the medicines to get the kittens well, you should give them over to the SPCA who will treat them, get them well and find them a home that can afford to care for them.
If you go to a vet, you can save money by purchasing meds at the online pet pharmacies. Just ask the vet for a written prescription so you can get the meds at a pharmacy / pet shop near home. Vet's spend a lot of money for their training, and they have to have you either pay them to see the pet, or pay them if you want them for meds if you want meds without a visit. They can't stay in business if they give all their services away free.
Do you know for sure their meds are too expensive, or is that just your assumption?
You can ask the vet's office for a quote for visit and antibiotics for a bad cold and compare prices. You can ask local pet stores for names of vets that are more cost effective.
BUT
If you can't afford the meds or the vet visit, maybe you should give the kittens to the SPCA and get your cat neutered so she doesn't have any more babies. Being a pet owner is a lot of responsibility and part of that is the cost of health care.

I know vets are expensive, but this doesn't sound like something you want to self-diagnose. Your cats are worth the extra $$.
P.S.~ there are online vets, but they charge for their services.
