It is STAPH not STAFF - short for staphylococcus - genius

And how is unwashed fingers in Holy Water any different than using the tongs at a salad bar, and not washing YOUR hands? You have no idea if the person before you washed their hand after the bathroom or is sick.

BTW, Holy Water isn't consumed so unless you are putting it on an open sore or in your eyes, there is very little chance of getting sick from a staph infection.

Holy water is never Unhygienic if consumed like Holy water. Infection only occur if you drink it like ordinary water. 1 to 2ml Holy water is sufficient to consume.

Remember Holy is never water Holy is our sentiments/ thoughts attached to that Holy water.

Infection in Holy water is our Sin thoughts/ Ill sentiments for other human beings which creates Infection into it.

I have been dipping my fingers in it all my life and kissing the statue of Jesus (Infrared) and......no hepatitis, no herpes, no falling fingers, hey it must be a miracle. And then they say Miracles and God don't exist!! This is the living proof that they do since according to you I should have every infection under the sun!!
God bless!!!

Pamela V- My tongue hasn't fallen out either from drinking from the communal cup. Just another miracle to add to the two above!

Yeah of course! They come in from outside and who knows what they did before they got into church & they're dipping their fingers in it and ewww that's nasty.

Like in an episode of family guy where a bishop or priest didn't wash his hands after going to the bathroom before he blessed the water so the holy water was "tainted."

I am a Christian, but I am not Catholic. This is not sanitary nor is the one cup they still share when they take communion! I would not drink after someone else! We have our own little individual communion cups. The little wafer(bread) is sealed and on top of the little cup. Then the empty little plastic cup is then tossed into the trash afterwords.

That is a very good question. I would say since it's "holy water" it would be blessed and therefore clean but...I wouldn't want to take any chances ! lol

god is omnipresent......why do u go to church to find holy water??????
it is the droplets of rain
through the windows of the train.......
it is from ur bathroom tap and
also from ur sweaty cap.......
it is the one that serves u in thirst
thugh it might taste worst.....
and I do believe god and swear
that it is also the last drop of ur beer......
whatever u do,
do it in the name of god
and then u cannot differentiate
what is good and what is bad!
thos is not only philosophical
but practical....
but the worldly illusions have put things impossible!

might want to very well be, noticeably with little ones, who don't love washing their palms. the article although is about cryptosporidium pollutants that were given right into a county's ingesting water equipment. you're accurate although, holy water fonts might want to harbor loads of germs and ailments, reminiscent of water fountains.
