They think you are an easy mark.

I would forward this to the FBI and let them deal with it.

And it is sad to say, but I'm sure countless others have already responded to this scam.........

It's a new version of the classic "Nigerian Scam". I've been getting them, too.

If Timothy Kwami is an American soldier, why is his Yahoo account from France? (***@yahoo.fr)

That right there should set off the first alarm in your head.

"Timothy Kwami" can't even speak/type English very well, nor can he spell. Don't repsond to the scammer, just delete the message and move on.

Big time scam. I've gotten a VERY similiar on multiple occassions from a different person every time. All you need to do is just delete it or mark it as spam. There's nothing local law enforcement can do about it, so don't waste your time trying to contact them. And for the sake of all human kind, DON'T SEND THEM ANY MONEY!!!
I can tell you from hearing it with my own ears and seeing it with my own eyes that all you end up doing is losing the money you gave them and there is no trail for the police, FBI, or anyone to find out who it went to.

These are scam artists trying to get you to send them money. Don't do it EVER. You will end up getting some kind of check from them, cashing it, to your account, sending it back to them. And they will let you have a specified amount. Only to find out that the check was bad and then YOUR account gets charged the amount you withdrew and you are stuck having to pay that back! Dont ever respond to those emails! I usually send them to the police. Your local police station usually has an email address you can write to.

It's a scam... a rude scammer at that. (all caps). I get that kind of stuff all the time. Why I've won lotteries, inherited money, been ask to assist in moving money, won the MS/AOL email contest, etc...etc. If I could avail my self of all those offers I'd make Bill Gates look like a pauper....

Hi, i havent gone through your entire email, but i definitely know that it is a spam and intended to capture interest of some greedy people, This people make false promises and try to take your personal details and evetually make you belive, what they say so that you can shred some money in lieu of promise for big money.
In short ignore that mail, or be careful if you want to proceed further.

Cowgirl, as already said above...deffinately 110% Spam. Do not respond to it. Yahoo also has a unit that will check into these types of letters. Also another place that you might FWD this to is called: scambusters.com a great site and is free. And as mentioned FBI also has units that look into this type of material. Best of luck. Hope you've not responded to this spam.

Because this is a scam, and it's a new one, in that they are now trying to use the war in Iraq, but, still...
And, by the way, part of the scam mail would have been sufficient..

What you have here is your typical spam Nigerian 419 fraud scheme, with an American plot variant. Your best and safest tactic is delete, delete, delete. Don't write back. Don't provide any information.
