I've been thinking about going backpacking in Australia, anyone been before and can offer advice, or know somewhere where I can get it? Could do with advice on all aspects of it really...

come to sydney, but really, theres hostels in every town and cheap formula 1 motels everywhere....like $50 a night....but pack about $2500 *spending money* just in case

Join the many thousands doing it already. It is a huge industry over here. Try Googling "Backpacking Australia" or better still name the places you want to go to. You should find more information than you dreamed existed.
