You would not be making ends meet, it's just not possible or reasonable to raise a child that way. Good luck! (and if you haven't conceived yet, I would consider waiting until you are financially ready to take on such a big responsibility as a child.

you and your guy combined make that??? if you arent with him then make sure you get child support... i dont know what the cuttoff is but you might get some special assistance.. if you arent married then there are clubs that offer insuruance for single moms.

save money by not smoking or drinking... 20 dollars a week posibly for smoking thats over 1000 dollars a year...

not drinking can save you " 40 dollars a week minimum" thats over 2000 dollars a year.

3000 dollars goes to food and clothes.... MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Well, I am waiting how good are u with your 20k for 18 years for raising a child. lol...
Breakdown in simple detail pls. lol.

My layman estimates up to a sum of $150,000.00 for 18 years and it is not a comfort zone sum of money to raise a child too.

Sum includes from the first month of born to this world to the day the child gets their first career wages.

I would estimate 100.000 till 18. No private school, just food, diapers, formula, daycare, prek, school books, school uniforms, soccer practice, ballet practice, allowance, phone bill, hot water bill, transport bus passes, metro passes, gas from diving her back and forth, hair products, body lotions, cd's gadgets, ufff!!
Yeah, I thing 100.000 average with no rent, no private school, no medical, all of these will add up to another 100.000 or more depending on the school

$20,000 for 18 yrs...it's possible only IF... you don't buy him/her things that she doesn't really need...like gaming consoles, etc... food and clothing should not be expensive... and if you don't need to pay much for the tuition fee... it's pretty possible... just don't waste money on useless things... poor people here in the Philippines could do that... they don't even have 20,000 dollars... but they do have a very tight budget...

yeah you can live comfortably on 20k annually. people are idiots these days with money, they see something on tv and they gotta have it.

just dont smoke or drink and you'll be fine. dont go for big luxuries and stay away from credit cards unless for emergency only.

plus kids who have a poor lifestyle grow up wanting money more and end up excelling in schools and careers
