Check your bike top to bottom. Make sure your tires are at the right pressure, your gears are smooth, your brakes are aligned, your wheels are true, and your chain is lubed. If your bike fails for any reason, nothing else matters.

Have a good pasta dinner without meat, and maybe a glass of wine or a beer. Set all your gear out before going to bed, so you don't forget your helmet, glasses, gloves or shoes (stupid things happen).

Put any medication you may need into your jersey pockets (I have asthma, and my inhaler is a must). Pre-mix some Cytomax, Endurox, or your recovery drink of choice in a Nalgene bottle for the finish line, and have a good breakfast with some caffeine if you like.

wow a lot of variables here. Hometown race or on the road? If your in a hotel, you'll probably be going out to eat, try to make it early. Don't stress about getting "x" amount of sleep, if your tired you'll sleep if you anxious you wont, either way don't sweat it. It will not matter in your race. If you have nervous energy in the morning use it, let it get you amped up, feed off it. Lay out all your gear the night before. Know the course, ride it the day before if you can. Pick out things to watch for, decide where you might make a move. Notice the direction and speed of the wind, just notice, don't worry about it. Remember we worry about the things we can control. Hopefully you've put in the work. Race with confidence. And know that everyone on that start line feels just like you. Who can react to that feeling better, you or them?
Train smart, race hard, good luck

I always do a ride the day before a race. I tend to ride about an hour with some short jumps in mid ride. If I don't do this, I find that i often feel stale on race day. I would have plenty of stamina, but no spring in the legs. Major tour riders will actually ride 3 to 4 hours on the rest days in the race. If their bodies change their routine, they have a hard time getting back to form.

i have that same question. what i plan to do is go for a relaxing ride the day before. this would be an easy ride that doesnt require a lot of strenuous pedaling. maybe a 1-2 hour ride. after that, relax, prep my bike and set out all my gear. when everything is all set, ill pack up my stuff in the car, with the exception of my camelback so i can fill it with fresh water in the morning. relax a little more, have pasta for dinner, then go to bed early. i go to bed around 8 or 9. i aim to get 9-10 hours of sleep- any less or more, then i get kinda lazy.

that what i do. it may not be the best system, but it worked for me last year. enjoy yourself while your at it. if you think your doing work, then you wont get very far. always put yourself in a positive mindset. be competetive, but have fun!

2 days isn't adequate time to do something useful re practise. Frankly, till you may bypass out right now and do a 50-60 km experience quite conveniently you may desire to evaluate no rely if to do the ninety km experience in any respect. i'm not asserting the ninety km experience won't be able to be conceivable -- it is not that long for any particularly greater healthful person, and the human physique pushed via a desperate ideas can do spectacular issues -- yet till you have ridden something close to to that distance earlier you're in all probability to have a quite depressing time for the latter 0.5 of the experience and be sore once you end. i don't recommend using an exercising motorcycle now because of fact the region and seat are going to be distinctive on your actually motorcycle. in case you incredibly desire to bypass forward with the experience, then experience your commonplace motorcycle as far as you may right now (a minimum of 30 km). do not attempt to bypass quickly/complicated, yet push your self to bypass as far as you may with out being completely exhausted and/or sore via the time you get abode. you would be wanting to drink earlier you get thirsty. Then the next day do an quite sluggish experience just to get the kinks out. My first century experience (actually a hundred and seventy km), the longest I had ever ridden earlier it grew to become into eighty km. I made the a hundred and seventy km, however the final 60-70 have been "ideas over rely" ... and it took me an hour to stand up the skill to have a tub when I arrived. The return experience the next day went plenty much less complicated nonetheless. A ninety km experience shouldn't modern any the place close to the comparable project. good success.

I do something strange but it works! First I dress in shorts, jersey, socks, shoes the night before sleep in it(Firehouse style) to make my body accept the chamois in my shorts and keep the feet from swelling out of my shoes. I time my bathroom breaks to 2 minutes and when times up I pull my pants up(Even if I'm STILL GOING). I eat extremely little in the morning because I don't want to get sick or dehydrated while riding. Then go to the ride and win !
