I have a tattoo on my lower stomach and it did not hurt that bad. However, the severity of the pain is going to be determined by the location in which you are getting the tattoo, and your tolerance for pain. To me it felt like being scratched by a cat during, and afterwards it felt like a sunburn. Good luck and make sure that you have thought long and hard about what you want to get placed on your body! I sure wish that I had, lol.

I just got my first tattoo on Tuesday, April 24 of a Scorpion on my right hip (my zodiac sign is scorpio). My experience was the actual tattooing felt like a cat scratching you, for about a day and a half to two days afterward, the tattoo felt a little like a wasp sting. The "pain" for me, was minor and easily tolerable

Depends on where you get it. The more bone in that area and it will really hurt. More skin and it doesn't hurt that bad. It will be more annoying than anything. On the waist shouldn't hurt that bad. Focus on something in the tattoo shop and hum to yourself. Before you know it, it's over. Pay special attention to how to take care of your tattoo. I put prep H on it at first for the swelling and I put lotion on it everyday and it hasn't faded at all in 15 years.

It will hurt. How much depends on your personal tolerance for pain. Certain areas of skin hurt more than others. I would say that the skin on your waist is not going to be unbearable.

it really depends on where you get the tattoo. And how much pain tolerance you have. I have one on my front hip and that one didn't hurt to me. I also have one on my lower back. It didn't hurt until he got 1 inch from my spine on both sides. Im fairly skinny as well. It also depends how much padding you have. my lower back didn't have as much padding especially on the spine compared to the hip area. The outline is the worst part because there is only on needle. The coloring in is less painful because there are 3 needles used on a bigger surface area.

As they have been telling you, it all depends on what your pain threshhold is...but I have 6; one that goes down the middle of my back took 12 hours long time to lay there but...man it was worth it...
just remember tats are permanent...make sure what you get means something to you
I have celtic knots around my waist, kinda in a "v" shape but at my back...I don't remember that it hurt any worse then any of the others...
one on my hip was the worst...not really hurtful but he kept hitting my hip bone with the tip and it would buzzzz down my side...
beware tats are addictive.... :-); they're like chips you can't just have one
:-)

everybody is going to tell you something different and it all boils down to you as a person and how you handle pain. in my opinion tattoos do hurt but obviously not bad enough to not get them because... i got more work last weekend and am going for more in three weeks.

Its not an unbearable pain. Its like an annoying sunburn getting touched. I have a tatoo on my mid lower hback and expected it to hurt and it was not a big deal at all.

certain, getting a tattoo hurts. How sore it truly is relies upon completely on the position you get it. despite the indisputable fact that it truly is infrequently so sore you won't be able to get it complete. i have were given a band round my top arm. The outer fringe of the arm is somewhat sore despite the indisputable fact that the interior, the position there's a lot less muscle and extra comfortable flesh, the tattooist had to press harder so it damage extra. My exwife has a sunlight and moon layout round her abdomen button. That, in accordance to her, grow to be the most painful component she's had carried out. comfortable area of the body, lot of rigidity. different places that damage. everywhere the position epidermis covers close to to bone. So something on the shin is going to nip, for example. ft are quite comfortable, highly on the only, and at the same time as getting tats everywhere else will damage, tattooing on the ft will damage plenty. in case you want something carried out on your again, it truly is about the perfect position to do it in case you're literally not prepared on soreness. it truly is going to nevertheless damage on the comfortable bits, yet you've fewer nerve endings on your again than the different area of your body so it hurts somewhat a lot less. And in case you do get a tattoo, do not do it with a hangover. My first one, i might want to been ingesting until eventually 3 contained in the morning on the evening formerly. Six hours sleep, in all likelihood nevertheless somewhat less than the impression of alcohol, sitting contained in the tattooists chair getting whiter and whiter until eventually I had to bolt for the bathroom and boak. (Boak, a Scots word for throwing up) somewhat soreness feels worse once you've a hangover.... and do not get them everywhere you won't be able to disguise them, except you want to finally end up doing a guide interest. in case you want something proffesional on your existence (accountant, legal specialist, stockbroker, that variety of component) a tattoo won't be able to be the perfect component you want to exhibit at your interview. human beings make judgements at this variety of human being who receives tattoos. 9 cases out of ten that judgement is incorrect, yet once you're trying to get a sparkling interest those are this variety of odds you do not desire.

well yes it does but everyone has a different pain tolerence. mine sort of hurt but it wasnt unbearable. Some tattooists will do a "dry run" for you but personally i think this hurts more as there is no lubrication. Good luck
