I'm kinda overweight well i guess a lot over weight I'm 180 pounds of overweight ha ha and i really only have like one main friend no date and i guarantee i wont look good in a dress what should i do should i just stay home

The fact that you are asking this question tells me that you do want to go, but that it makes you nervous. I used to be way overweight too, i looked horrible in any dresss, and I never went to any dances becuase of it. But I also didn't want to go to dances. If you feel like it would be something fun, if you could just get over your initial uncomfortablenesss, then I would go, but if you think that you'll just be miserable, maybe stay home.
To answer this you really have to play out the senarios and ask which one you will be happiest with in the long term. Good luck.

If you have the opportunity to go to the prom, GO! It can be a memorable part of your life and there are some wonderful dresses out there that would allow you to look stunning no matter what you weigh!

go go if people cant accept you the way you are well they ain't worth knowing I'm overweight too and i say we are all more cuddly that these stick women there is alot of men out there that prefer bigger women so go for it Hun have fun and enjoy your life good luck

If it's your Senior Year, Who cares? Go and have a good time...it your LAST CHANCE...
If it's your Junior Year and you're really self-concious, trust your own instinct...remember, you have one more year left of high school and one more chance to go to prom after this

who cares what you look like i know lots of overwieght people that look good. duuude you need to chill and relax and go have some damn fun girrl!!! dont worry about what o ther people think. just be your self, get dressed up and have fun.... GO TO PROM!!!

you should definitally go to prom! have fun girlfriend.
i have some friends that are overweight, but i dont care. we are all going to have fun at our prom- no matter what you look like!
