It is the best crap cleaner out there, IMHO.
TIP: Make sure you check / un-check the boxes on the sidebar before your use it. It can remove Cookies, History, etc. that you may not want to delete.
The Registry tool is also amazingly good.
It has never let me down and I would pay for in a blink, but it is still FREE!!!

Ccleaner cleans all your browsed history and other crap files that you don't use or need, also it cleans the registry. By registry I mean when you install or uninstall programs this programs leave registration files sometimes that you don't really need so the Ccleaner removes them and makes it easy for other programs to find their registry files when you run them. Personally I think it is a great program.

Have used CCleaner for a year, LOVE IT. Very fast in cleaning, and ZERO issues in accepting all of the defaults. My only warning is about registry cleaning. Some of the 'unused' extensions, I was hesitant to delete, but everything else, (including cleaning FireFox & IE) are smooth, no problems at all.
Use it with confidence.

I found it useful, as it did remove some of the spyware/adware attatched to my startup registry. However it did reset some of my custom file associations, but this is easily rectifiable and is often not a problem for most users.

Personally, I prefer other things, but most of those are pay for stuff at home on my network; At work, I use Either RegClean on Localised Events, or Use Manual Edits if I know roughly whats going on, and if its about regtistry Orphans, then I usually search in classes; However, I don't do anything unless I do a Backup, whatever it is I do. The better tool at work is Hyena, really cool.
