fractional harmonics do exsist.. you've got to meet my ex wife when shes gone on a tangent about how she needs money to pay HER BILLS!! lmao! makes my ears bleed!

It's the way the world works and it's all because of the boundary conditions. The math follows the real world perfectly. Imagine a string that has both ends secured. Pluck it and to get the first sub harmonic you would have to have one end at rest and the other end at maximum amplitude. If you put the peak in the middle of the string, the ends still couldn't be at rest to produce a subharmonic. Both ends would have to move. The real world just doesn't let this happen.
