When this happened to my cat (I was out of town for a few days and my husband noticed she stopped eating) we thought it was because I was gone but when it continued another day I knew something was wrong. Took her to the vet and the bug that had made her sick had already hurt her kidneys and she was dead 3 days later. Dont wait!!!!!!
I mean if you felt like sh*t, couldnt eat and was weak what would you do. Having a pet is a responsibility not a convience. Hope your pet gets better.

The easy answer is: go to the vet.
I've had to force feed 3 cats before, for different problems. All were not eating and getting weak. Go to the store and get a bottle of clear pedialyte and jars of meat baby food. Mix 1/2 and 1/2 and feed the cat with a bulb syringe of medicine dropper. You'll have to keep doing this, multiple times a day until the cat gains more strength. Then you'll want to offer her regular food and treat food, like tuna in water, or canned cat food, or unseasoned steamed chicken. Anything to get her to eat on her own. My cats all got better in a couple of weeks.

What should you do?! WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

Seriously, haven't you ever heard of a vets? This is the place that you're supposed to take sick animals - and your cat is obviously sick.

Feel free to email me with more details if you want more specific advice on what to expect from a vets, but don't leave it later than tomorrow to get that cat to a vets. Sorry, but the very WORDING of this question symbolises what makes me insane about Yahoo Answers.

Sorry to hear that your cat is ill. If your cat does not want to eat you have to spoon feed her. You have to buy baby food stage 2 and feed her. You have to hold your cat like a baby and spoon feed her. That is the only way you can feed her. If it get to the point that you can not spoon feed her anymore and she does not want to eat than you have to take her to the Vet. And have her check out. How old is your cat? I hope everything turn out fine with your cat. Good luck

well i'd like to know a little bit more information before I could give you even a close bit of the information you are looking for!
-how old is your cat
-has she had all her immunizations and shots?
-is she indoor/outdoor or both?
-what have you been feeding her?
-are there any other specific symptoms?
-do you treat her for fleas? if so what kind do you use?

You should really get her to the vet, they will be able to pin point the exactly what is happening, if you could give me a little bit more info I may be able to steer you into what to ask your vet and what not, but you won't be able to get a diagnosis on here.

If I were you I would take her to a vet immediatly before she dies. Because it could be somethng very serious. If you do not then yoour cat has a high risk of dieing.

SHe will not last very long if she isn't eating. She will get lipidosis and I don't think it is reversable.
You should take your cat in to the vet and if you can't afford it --at least take her to the Humane Society----they will have her treated and find a good home for her. Please don't let her die.
