Thing is, he didn't tell me what to do.

I'm not sure if you are being serious.
If so how can you be sure that it was God, as in any concept of a God that we have on this earth through religion today?
I would just wait, it seems for some reason the higher powers are not being very clear these days.
I imagine it has plans for you and will contact you again.
Please let me know if it does.
