We're going out Saturday night to a gala, and his ex girlfriend is going to be there.
She was the one who ended it, and they were insanely close. He still gets kinda emotional when he talks about her. Should I look for possible signs of something still existing between them? He's said before that neither of them really wanted to break up at all.
I know I should trust him but I can't help but be jealous.
What do I do? And what are some signs that would show he still likes her?

sounds like you don't trust either of them... so just end it and find someone else... :D

This isn't EVER a good idea, especially if he still gets emotional.
If you're in love, be sure to remind him..a lot before going to see her. Also, be sure to remind him that the night is meant for the two of you, not for them.
If he says things like neither of them wanted to break up, then the signs are already there. He still has feelings for her, I think it'd be best if you avoid the situation all together. It's very risky.

Is there any way that you can get out of going? This is a bad idea. If you do have to go, try to avoid being anywhere near the ex, and don't leave him alone long enough for her to start a personal conversation with him. You certainly don't want him to start sobbing over another woman when he is with you.
You might want to set some ground rules before you go too!!

WOW! that sounds like a situation that could get real ugly real quick. If you are that concerned, would you consider looking at your own side of the street and make sure it clean before you go and work yourself up about his ex? I wonder if you wouldn't be better off making tracks right now.
