To tackle a sore throat, gargle with warm saline water 5- 6 times a day or sip warm water every half an hour.
Heat a cup of water with a small peice of giner, 1 teaspoon pepper and 1/2 teaspoon sugar.Boil it to reduce it to half its quantity .Drink this 2 - 3 times a day . You could also have a cup of hot water with a squeeze of lemon juice and some honey 4-5 times a day.
Suck a peice of clove to ease a sore throat.

The best doctor for this problem is an ear, nose, and throat specialist. It sounds like you have a serious infection and need to go as quick as possible to the doctor. Drink hot tea with lemon and honey as frequently as possible, until you can get to the doctor. Place hot towels or a heating pad around your throat to help relax the muscles. Do this for twenty minutes at a time. Repeat several times a day.

You need to see an ENT. Ear, nose and throat doctor. I'm having the same problem, I have an appt. on Monday. I know its scary but you said you FEEL like your throat is closing but its not because your still here on Yahoo. If you couldn't breath you'd be dead. Nerves can make your throat feel tense. Make an appt. to see a doc or go to the ER today. It is the weekend and most doctors especially specialist like ENT aren't going to take you right away. I made my appt. 2 weeks ago. Good luck

Go to a doctor quick. just go to a hospital and the reception will take you to the correct doctor.
Don't drink anything cool now. Drink hot stuff. I think you are having bronchites not sure, very serious if it is bronchites but can be cured. I assume that becuase you said cannot breathe and muscles are giving trouble

Go to your general dr. He can refer you to a specialist if necessary. You may have sleep apnea, if this is occuring only when you're asleep. But if your throat's closing up as soon as you lay down in bed, it could be more serious. You could be having an allergic reaction to something in your bedroom. Your throat closing is one of the signs of anaphylaxis, a life threatening allergic reaction. Just get to the doc right away!
