It goes back to the Animal Kingdom, observe how it's the male that impresses the female. Whether it is from flashy colors of a peacock, the unbearable sound of a cricket clicking to catch her attention. Or a Gorilla fighting it out just to prove his worth.

Well, that's how I see it.

No. It is a cultural thing that girls are supposed to be shy and demure and the guy is supposed to come to them to establish a relationship. In fact in earlier time a guy had to get the permission of the father to court the daughter. Most of this has gone by the wayside however it is still considered somewhat of a breach of etiquette for a girl to come up to a guy out of the blue and ask for a date.

No women are not lazy..I am African and in most of the African cultures; society designs a lot of norms and as we grew up, we found things done in a particular way and we just follow.
As girls we were even told that girls don't propose, you wait-even if you are dying of wanting a particular boy/man.
nowadays we do try ways of making boys/man aware if we want them, but its difficult. the conscious that you are not suppose to is glued in our brains but i know with time we would be able to come up even though behavior change is one of those long term projects to implement.

Once in a relationship you are to wait for the boy/man to propose marriage as well. in a nutshell is society and the different cultures that shapes the way girls/women act.

HAHA!

No, they aren't "bone lazy", but women certainly have the control in establishing a relationship, so just like the majestic peacock, spread your feathers, and impress...

If that is how you feel about women, then you really don't need one anyway.

By the way, the man may establish it most of the time, but it is usually the women that holds it together.

No, it's not true. It's both. It's normally that guys court the gals.

Country to country, there are variations. In the west, the guys do the initiative. In the middle east, its the same, guys give dowries to get their wives. In India, the gals pay for the dowries to their preselected husbands to be in order to be acceptable.

Maybe you should stop trying. If it is a problem for you, sit back and let the women come. I'm sure someone will go for you. What with the charming personality and happy outlook on women...............

Because in american society, a man that asks a woman out is the accepted form of behavior.

A woman who asks a man out is considered being forward and a tramp.
