I would NOT recommend free software for this use, as if the drive goes funny or the software has bugs, you could lose all the info, and where you think you can get help from ? as the only people who knows are the developers, and if the software is free, you think they would waste hrs or days helping you to recover the data for free ?
Best to use one thats been tried and tested for years, try searching www.download.com
