Why do you feel the need to constantly point out the flaws of religion? Why can't you let us theists be? Don't you know that it has nothing to do with facts or believing? It has to do with desire. This is what I want to believe because it fits my needs and wants, and if I have to fight for this world I will do so, with voilence if need be. We don't care if it makes sense or if its rational, as long as it makes us feel special and gives us a sense of purpose in an uncertain world I will follow it blindly. So stop trying to change me with your logic and common sense. Even if you present the truth in a way I can understand, I will not listen. Ignorance is bliss and I am quite happy believing that my god loves me and hates everyone else.

"Ignorance is bliss" . Now that you said it for me, am I going to fill in the space with redundant answers ?
You must be an atheist playing the role of the dumb fanatic, because your own rant is too obvious a spit on believers' face.
LOL.

I would leave you alone, but you bait me with the title. Also, I hate it when religious people try to "save" me. I don't need your dammed help. Then crazies like you threaten violence and admit that you ignore logic and common sense so you can follow your God.

Why would your God want you to be illogical? And to ignore common sense? Wouldn't He (or SHE) want you to be logical and reasonable? Logic, Truth and common sense are only for Atheists and not for the Faithful? It sounds more like something made up by slow-thinking men than by a God.

You are a sad person with a sad life.

Good for you.
I however believe in God, and I know God never sponsors nor endorses ignorance.
"For lack of knowledge my people perish..." so says the bible in Hosea 4:6.

The atheist's problem however is pride in the little knowledge they have acquired via whatever means. Because of their unwillingness to humble themselves and be taught. God on His part cannot reveal Himself such a person. God resists the proud James 4:6.

"...We know that we all possess knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know". 1 Corinthians 8:1-2

You can believe in God, Ghosts, Angels , Genie (Jinn) what ever you feel like. But if you want other people to believe in that you need substantial proof. Some people will believe you without proof. But I won't. In order for me to believe I need scientific evidence. Some intelligent people will always point out when there are flaws in something. If you are happy believing God and his greatness that is fine with me.

If you feel this way, why must you invite the comments and criticism on religion by posting such a question? If you are happy in your beliefs and want to turn a blind eye on reason and logic because ignorance makes you happy, why not just be happy and quit challenging atheists. To be totally honest, I don't ever question a religious person on their beliefs until they start a conversation on the topic with me.

"We don't care if it makes sense or if its rational, as long as it makes us feel special and gives us a sense of purpose in an uncertain world I will follow it blindly."

Without that line you might almost have pulled it off, although not using a capital for God in an otherwise fairly grammatically sound rant is a slight giveaway too.

hey, you don't have to be so blunt. your god? I thought God was our God.. hmmm .. and God doesn't hate anyone. God is light, God is love and God Love's me too.
and you know Jesus? we he is us.. look a little closer at the name Jesus.. oh Geee he's us... got ya! and I too would fight for this world for all the good that is left in it, Their might not be many who believe anymore, but what they gonna say, come judgment day? Because that day is not so far away, as some people may think. and in a way,, Can't wait to see the look on their faces when they realize how wrong they were. but then,, maybe I am the one with the look on my face, no.. it will be them... lol

I am happy that you are happy with your beliefs ..... my only hope is you do not act like your fellow theists and start pushing down your god idea into others' throat.

So, read from both side of the door before you put down such question.

You answered your own question...(please tell me you were being facetious...)
You say you are willing to commit "violence" to back up your own "self-admitted, mis-guided" beliefs.
"I," a non-religious person, am NOT willing, and REFUSE to commit violence for "ANY REASON," you scary terrorist-type, you!
Someone should investigate you, to make sure you're not planning to hurt people because of your own "self-admitted, possibly misguided" beliefs.
Do understand what you just revealed about yourself?
You need to seriously re-consider your willingness to commit "violence" in order to...
"Whatever...?!?"
Find some love, if you're not already psycho...you're gonna need it...
I can only hope you were being "facetious," (check spelling)
And if you were being "facetious," you need to put that in paratheses before someone takes you seriously...What you just did, if it wasn't "sarcastic-role-playing," is grounds for arrest for suspicion-of-terrorism.
And if you were serious? I hope they get you behind bars quickly...

as a nonatheist answer, its inherent in people to point out flaws if you dont like something. just like its inherent in humans to embrace things regardless of its flaws. imagine an athiest likes smoking and someone points out all the negative things about smoking and all the reasons why its stupid to smoke. the atheist replies but i like smoking.

let an atheist say otherwise, name one thing you enjoy and please explain how that thing is flawless. im not saying christians are right to blissfully be ignorant, cause its its not real to me if you make a choice and not know the options.

w/e i feel better having said something anyway.
