Brigham Young was also responible for murdering a large group of people. Should someone name their place of higher learning after a murderer, and polygamist?? And erect statues of him everywhere??
Whose next?? Adoph Hitler, or Attila the Hun??

You know if you tool the time to see past your ignorance you might not be spending time on the internet trying to stir contention with people. Brigham Young yes was a polygamist but did MANY great things in his life. Half of the early presidents of the US were racist and had many slaves and that is something no longer acceptable and is disgusting to most people yet there names and faces are plastered everywhere. Just because someone did something a long time ago that might not be socially accepted now, does not mean that they were a bad person or didn't contribute great things to our society.

well to add to your rebutle, again if you did your homework you would know that those unfortuante murders that were not done Brigham Young but a group of members organized to protect their families under some what of a direction of Brigham, came after YEARS of people murdering them, raping their wives and children, burning their homes down, killing their animals and ruining crops which were their livlihood, chasing them out of their homes and land that were rightfully theirs countless times, tar and feathering people, stealing from them, and lets not forget about the Hans Mill Masacre where over a hundred innocent women and children were brutley murdered while hiding out in a barn from an angry mob. I would imagine that after all of this, after constanly turning the other cheek that when your life and the lives of those you love are threatend yet once again with a creditable threat that you would feel the need to protect yourself. After all he was only human. not saying it was the right thing to do, but let's keep things in perspective.

i think of the Mormons do tolerate the FLDS, yet basically as a results of fact the LDS are so embarrassed with the aid of the FLDS. The Mormons do not desire to do something to entice interest to the FLDS as a results of fact the FLDS make the Mormons and Utah seem to be backwards. Even the polygamists are disappointed with the FLDS. So, the LDS keeps to be faraway from confronting the FLDS. yet, it style of feels each and each has equivalent rights to the LDS call as a results of fact the religions got here from the comparable source. in case you look on your telephone e book, you will see some thing like 20 styles of Baptists. while church homes chop up, each and each modifies the call somewhat yet keeps the essence of the call.

Brigham Young was not responsible for anyone's murder. He specifically said to leave all non-Mormon pioneers alone!

Isn't Bob Jones University anti-black? That's what I heard.

I also heard that Oral Roberts University refuses to accept fat and/or ugly people.
