Depends on a number of things: How you count 'atheists' for starters. Do you count only people who claim to be atheists? Do you include 'nonreligious'? 'Agnostic'? Do you factor in the stigma, reasoning that people are somewhat less likely to claim atheism than to actually be atheist?
I've seen figures as low as 5% and as high as 25%. So that's between 15 and 75 million.

Labels like "atheists" or "Christians" or "Muslims" or any other "labels" you care to mention, don't stick to any one individual five minutes after they leave the room...
I believe humans need to stop "labeling" themselves, for it is this practice that is causing all the strife and war and terror in the world.
We are all people on Planet Earth.
And even that "label" is probably "inaccurate"
five minutes after someone leaves the room...
