Just because you are off work ill doesnt mean that your world must cease to function! You need to eat! It would be a different matter if you were out shopping for fun (which is beyond me why people find shopping fun anyway! - I hate shopping of any description! lol)

If you are too ill to shop then most big stores now have the online shopping facility and will deliver your goods, so my choice would be let someone else do the hard work, you stay at home, chill out and have a speedy recovery :-)

This is a touchy subject for lots of people because they don't want to be seen as skiving off but you have to eat!

Unless you are bed ridden there is no reason why you need to stay indoors all day every day, in fact it's good for you to be out breathing some fresh air. (that's you can actually find some in the UK)

Let your sickness record do the talking, if your like most decent and honest people have only been off for genuine reasons the number of times off will be few, and so you'll be seen as a good employee.

Hi! It's probably a controlled aversion...which basically means your body has trained itself to be sick when you smell certain things. So even though you may not physically have that reaction any longer, you think you are going to, which brings back the feeling, which itself can make you sick....hope that helps!!

u still have the right to eat hon ! if anyone sees u, then just say u had to pick up some painkillers or something like that.

i think u'd only be in trouble if they saw u doing something like sitting in a pub, or clothes shopping....

hope u feel better soon.... i've got a throat infection too, and it's no fun.... i'm on anti biotics, but it still seems to be taking forever to go.....

If you can't have it delivered and you're well enough to go out, then you've GOT to eat so ignore the thoughts of being seen out by your employers. If they thought THAT much of you they'd have sent somebody round to see if you needed any help - and yes, treat yourself to some nice ice cream - not only is it comforting, it's good for your throat ! ! !

Murphy's Law if you go out you will see someone from work.
You can be too ill for work but still function

I do my grocery shopping online. Its quick, easy and delivered straight to your fridge!
This way you wont have to leave the house and risk bumping into someone from work.
