Why is it so important to you to try and find flaws just to point them out to religious people. Why not let them believe what they want to believe and leave them alone. Who cares what they want to believe or what you want to believe? Give it a rest already.

Many do, actually. And many non-religious people (*hint hint*nudge nudge*) seem to have a problem accepting that people have the right to believe what they want, whether it can be proven or not... if you really want to get into it, what CAN you prove? Scientists prove science with pre-existing science. Well, scientific advances are made all the time and old theories proved wrong. So what if those pre-existing sciences are wrong, thus the very foundation of "fact" is flawed and no more than faith. It really makes you think (about something else less stupid and pointless). Science itself takes a big leap of faith... read science texts from 200 years ago... see how much of it still holds up. But it was *fact* then.
Religion is no different. If someone believes it, and that makes them happy and improves their life, then great! More power to them! Blind faith isn't so bad (and is actually quire romantic) as long as it isn't closely followed by blind hatred and discrimination.
I'm not religious... not at all. But I much prefer a devoutly religious person who holds to their beliefs but is accepting of others, rather than a person who shares my non-religious views (such as yourself, probably) but is hell-bent on pissing on people just for "blindly" believing something different (such as yourself, definately) when they aren't harming anyone else.

Because everybody thinks that their religion is the right religion and everyone else is wrong. If they can't find a smart @rse answer from their own brain when questioned they resort to quoting the bible or some other work of fiction to affirm their faith and justify how ludicrous it is. Most religious people are too arrogant to accept that they don't have all the answers and so resort to mindless text-quoting - which half the time doesn't even make any sense.

The essence of a religious path is perfect, the middle man or channel of that essence is Imperfect...
Sort of like that "Whisper a secret message" game which we play as kids sitting in a circle, by the time it goes one full round the message would have been distorted due to limitations of Intellect, Understanding, Expression, Translation, cultural Bias and Language.
Religion is IMPERFECT I 100% agree, but its essence... there is at least a possibility THAT is perfect.

I share the same confusion as you. There has been countless evidence to prove that religion needs a little updating to keep up with times. No longer can the age old answer of "Because it's God's Will," or "You just don't have enough faith," cut it anymore. This is probably because these religious fanatics have grown up so indoctrinated by religion and it's claims by their parents that they actually believe every single word of their bible. Just because you follow Christ as your savior does not make you religious. You can believe in God, the trinity, heaven, hell, eternal life, the Bible and you still don't have to be religious. The church is followers of Christ, the church is not a building. Some people have forgotten that. So on that note, religion is not perfect..but Jesus Christ is perfect. God of course...the trinity.

I can't accept that islam is not perfect because Islam is not a man-made things. Allah send prophets to teach Islam to human. Prophets are the messenger, they don't create Islam like what other religions was created. I used to chat with a Hindu and he believe that Hindu is man-made things, But I don't believe Islam is a man-made things. Religions that were made by human isn't perfect cuz human himself isn't perfect. but Islam is perfect enough because Allah made it and Allah isn't human. People who said that Islam isn't perfect because they don't study enough about islam and they don't fully understand about it. why Islam made polygamy as legal? because Allah don't want Muslims to commit adultery (for example when their wife is having the time of the month - Islam forbid their follower to do sex during that time, but some husband cannot stand to wait until their wife is clean and polygamy is legal so they don't commit adultery) like what happened to other religions follower where they can only have one wife at a time and they tend to have a mistress or secret lovers. but if a muslim wanna have more than a wife, they have to have enough reasons and they're capable to devide their love, money and attention to their wives. but most muslims failed to do so because they don't understand Islam perfectly. If you still don't understand what i've been trying to tell you, then you should study more about Islam. Islam is not a religion that can be understand in just a day, i've been learned it almost 20 years and I admit that there's still lot to learn about Islam. I really hate it when people who don't know the details and yet they claim to know everything about Islam after just hearing or reading just a piece of news about Islam. And I realize that most people grow their hates toward Muslims and Islam itself becuase they've been reading and hearing fox news about Islam that was made by anti-Islam. Can you hear you enemy talks good about you when he really hate you? of course not!

I know the Catholic Church is not perfect, but I still believe in the Church as I love going to Mass each week, I feel closer to God there. No one is perfect, we all make mistakes

Because the whole "premise" of religion is that it IS "perfect." (and even "they" know that's not true)
A better question is...
Why do people think "anything" is perfect?
Even God...?

Because every religion emphasizes blind faith. To have blind faith, you must have a very devoted belief system. So you will never be able to tell a religious person that their religion isn't perfect because they have blind faith that it is.
