This is okay...
The law states that if she is under 18, whatever age "you" are, is "too old."
When I was 23, I wouldn't have wanted to go out with a girl that... just returned from her "high-school Prom!"
But since she is over 18, and you are not in your 30's, this age difference should not matter if you both really love each other.
The reason large age differences do not work very well sometimes, is the same reason you would find it hard to suddenly go back and start playing with your G.I. Joes again, or put "training wheels" on your bicycle again...
It's not that they are "younger" or "older..."
It's that they are NOT in the same place in life that you are....

This is not a big age difference at all. When i was 19 I dated a 24 year old man. He is now my husband, and now 29. Age is just a number, what matters is how you feel about her.

4 years is not that significant. What is more important is your relative positions in life. For example, is she working, going to school, both? Living at home with parents? Are you in school, working, living alone or with parents? Are you discussing marriage or simply a relationship. If the latter, go for it. Time will show you what is going to happen. If you're talking marriage and you have serious questions, consider couples therapy. Counseling isn't just for those with mental issues, it is also for those with emotional and other life issues. Good luck.

Your ages are acceptable...take into account all factors though if you are considering a relationship...is she in college?working?are you a student? working? Do either, or both of you still live at home with parents? Is this to be a dating relationship....friendship.......how far do you two want it to go? By all means please remember that in some states that 19 is still underage for consuming and buying alcoholic beverages, entering bars, clubs, etc....Make sure that you have common interest...and could enhance one another*s life.

It is only four years and you are perhaps the only one conscious of any difference. When I was 20 I lost my vifginity to a 36-year old woman. Okay okay. I was a late starter.

age is great! i still say age is only a number no matter what people say or object to..too many people are brainwashed about age differences, instead of human feelings and needs.
no matter what any one says i will stand by my opinion till i die.

That is only 4 years, think if you were fifty, she would be forty six, no big deal.
