I have been in martial arts for years (just started boxing) and have been an avid weightlifter since highschool. It would be nice if some navy based programs or facilities were available.

Any military installation has a gymnasium where you can play basketball, racqueball, etc. If for some reason no gym is there, there are still courts for hoops at the very least. Do you mean team sports or just stuff to do?

Running always seems to be a military favorite....

When I was in the navy, we did heaps of running to and from classes and lectures. Wednesday arvos were sports days. There is so much opportunity to run and do sports and train in your spare time as well. You'll have fun believe me. If you join the RAN you'll love the SH*T run.

They're installing the new pool tables on each of the fleets ships and if you want to have weight lifting available just get assigned to the brig and you'll be able to have all the weight lifting you desire!
