Pressing on Toward the Goal
12Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
15All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. 16Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

this is not a question that is asking you to love God, it asking if you do as commanded by our Lord

Loving God leads to obedience, for He has pointed out that we will follow His commands if we truely love Him. Because He has saved us and made us a new creature, we can love others as He has loved us. And by this all men will know that we are His disciples.
I am learning how to love sincerely, without hypocricy.
Jesus said, "For I tell you the truth, whatever you have done for one of the least of these, who have done for Me." Matt. 25

just to answer the question as stated I just seem to keep hearting that there is one god but there are many religions. Now he tells one religion they are the chosen people, another that they are the true church of god, another that all others are infidels and are not worthy to live. There are many others as well but these you most likely will recognize and say they are not true.
It seems to me if there is a god he is playing one against the other telling one this and the other that to keep them from being able to live together in peace.
Supposed to be of love but has killed vast numbers of people from time to time. Turned a woman in to salt. drown an army in the red sea. flooded the earth and killed all humans except one family.
Not the kind of god I would want to be associated with.
Sister cities blown to hell and all the people with it.
Then he got smart and claimed that there was a baby born of him, oops not for all of us I guess. He has not arrived according to some. Any way since that time he has been able to stay in the background and brainwash people to do what ever he wants them to do. As the young girl goes to blow herself and others to pieces said, God told me to do it.
Just depends on what a person wants to believe.

Ummmmm...nope. See, your God doesn't really talk to people. I mean directly. Sure he may give you hints here and there but he never really comes out and says anything. My gods tell me what I need to do. So you have your Jesus and I will have my gods. Good for you? Good for me.
