Satanism like other branches of buddhism believes in existance of suffering, the only difference is other branches avoids anger, lust, greed, and power but satanist doesn't aviod it although they consider those are the reason why they suffer and they even go for more.
Like buddhism satanism have a huge perverted for intelligence or all knowing, like buddhism satanism seek pleasures from physical pains. Like buddhist yogis practices body bending and twistings to feel pain, satanist cut themselfs make themselfs bleed to get the sense of pleasure. Like buddhism satanist doesn't rely on God or worship God.
Buddhism believe that the next coming buddha is Maitreya, doesn't it reminds you of umm.... 666?

Yes, i find it offensive, because real Satanism has nothing to do with all these things you say, it is not "evil", and nothing to do with Buddism too. Satanists think that lust, greed and power are GOOD and based on NATURAL LAW, not the reason they suffer. They DONT cut or harm themselves, because they think pain is NOT pleasure, and some kinds of Satanist do worship Satan. This thing you talk about is Christian Satanism, (i.e. worshipping the Christian Devil, not Satan, doing cruel things, sacrifices e.t.c.), and only sick people follow this. Buddism is a RHP religion, like Christianity, true Satanism is a LHP one. Learn more information typing "laveyan satanism" "theistic satanism" "gnostic satanism", "spiritual satanism" and "left hand path" in a search engine and see the results, what real satanism is about.

You might consider spending some time with an encyclopedia.

Buddhists:
1. Belief in the existence of suffering. True.
2. Consider anger lust greed and power reasons for suffering. False. Buddhism sees want/lust as the reason.
3. A huge perverted for intelligence or all knowing. Uh, I don't know what that means, so I'll go with False.
4. Seek pleasures from physical pains. False.
5. Buddhist Yogis. False.
6. Practices body bending and twistings to feel pain. False.
7. Don't rely on god or worship god. True.
8. Believe the next coming of Buddha is Maitreya. False.

You are kind of confusing Buddhism and Hinduism, but other than that, it's a nice compare and contrast.

Gotta agree with ArtfulDragon and Annie on this one, and some other nice answers, too.

Would add that there always seems to be confusion about Yoga and Yogis -- Yoga simply means "to study" and a Yogi is a Student. A Guru is just a Teacher, so Guru Yoga simply means to study or follow a teacher. Since Buddhist teachers help us develop discipline of the mind, many physical disciplines, including certain martial arts, emerged as just one small avenue of "skillful means" (another important Buddhist concept) for focusing the mind in meditation. The stretchy, twisty, turny thing that westerners have come to think of as "yoga" was never intended for the self-infliction of pain. It was and is, when practiced as intended, a skillful means of using the body to train the mind. It's an ironic commentary on the materialistic illness of western society that "Yoga" has become a modern "power exercise" where people are encouraged to buy the best gear, own the latest high-tech yoga mat, get your copy of the latest-greatest power yoga DVD, pay people to learn "instant, high power yoga skills", own the sexiest new yoga clothing, etc.

Totally twisted.

Satanism is very little like buddhism. For one: In satansim there is no need to suffer. We are here on this earth to feel pleasure, but we will suffer sooner or later. Just it is not required to suffer to be a Satanist. The only form of satanism that is like buddhism is: Atheistic Satansim. Which is not entirely Satanism, only atheism with a Satan sticker slapped on it. Satanism in it's pure essence is the worship of Satan. What Satanism is after that, is up to the Satanist's codes of belife. The only other way Satanism is like buddhism is: meditations. Many Satanists meddiate in order to achive a goal such as: communicating with spirits, strengthening one's aura, or to preform a ritual, ect.

I don't know which demonstrates a lack of knowledge more, your views comparing satanism to other beliefs, or your utter lack of knowledge about Buddhism. Perhaps you should try reading some of the teachings of Buddhism. Better yet, try reading "Living Buddha, Living Christ" by Thich Naht Hahn or "Jesus and Buddha as Brothers" by the same author. You will see that the strongest similarities are between the teachings of Christ and the teachings of Buddha, not your uneducated perspective of pairing satanism and Buddhism.

Throughout my life I have seen Buddhists and Christians work together to improve their communities, teach peace, love and acceptance. Perhaps you could learn something. Finally, if you're going to read anything, read the teachings of Christ and try to understand and embrace them instead of passing off your limited understanding in judgement of another faith you obviously have made no effort to understand.

Oh, and the yogis who practice meditation in differing poses are not "enjoying" the pain, but rather through discipline and dedication slowly achieve the ability to sit in such positions without pain. Have you devoted that much effort to your faith? And....they're typically Hindu.

Make yourself pain for pleasure is 1 of the worst sin in Buddhism , do you know that?
Buddhists do not practice yoga!
Buddhists rely on the teaching and guidance of Buddha. They also believe in the fate , which regulates by the Gods in heaven. They fear devils (Satan) and do anything do expel them from their life.
666 is the presence of devil when the upcoming Buddha mission is to expel and purify all form of devil to preserve the purity of life (occur in ~9500 years later not like 666 which always presents in life)
Base on these differences, you can say Buddhism is the light that illuminates the darkness of Satanism

1.Buddhism is about VANQUISHING temptations.that's the whole point.

2."all knowing"? Buddhists try to achieve "self acualisation and realisation"

3.Buddhists don't torture themselves. when Buddha was seeking enlightenment he tried out many methods including the hindu method at that time of self torture and REALISED THAT IT DIDN'T WORK.the yogi practices are not self torture btw
on of the most emphasized points in Buddhism is to follow the middle path.that is DON'T TORTURE ONSELF OR OVER INDULGE ONESELF.

4.Bhuddhists don't rely on God worship because they understand that one is on one's own.
tell me have u ever heard of a WORLD WAR in the NAME OF BUDDHISM? have Buddhists created any global trouble like the christians and muslims?? judging by conduct,i would say most of the other religious followers seemed to follow satan!

u should do some SERIOUS reading.

oh and as for "wouldn't it be logical?" logical conclusions are based on facts..you've got your BASIC facts wrong!

imo neither group would be offended per se.
I would say that both philosophies start out looking inward for answers. Then they both find the things you describe. But satanists embrace them, thinking that is the way to happiness. Buddhists try to get beyond them, thinking THAT is the way to happiness. More like opposites.

and i'm not sure buddhists are looking for pain, and most satanists don't cut themselves for pleasure, that's emos lol.

LOL...

You must be reading too much Harun Yahya books and his ideas, or you are just one of those typical fundies...

Well, if you still insist, then it is up to you to make your own discretion. The others have said well and no Buddhist will ever try to argue with you on this but rather, tell you what it really is.

Some people, especially fools, will never realise the truth no matter how hard a wise person may teach him...
