I'm such a stupid person. Tell me what my mistake was?

We were walking out of class and this girl asked me if I had a class. I told her at twelve. She said she had a class also at 12(it was 11:15am when she asked). She also said that she was going to buy something from the caf and then go and eat outside since it was pretty warm outside. I said that was a pretty good idea and said good-bye. I only realized the mistake I made in that case. Tell me what you think is my mistake cause I want to be sure I’m right.

I think that what you are saying is that there was an opportunity to get to know this person better but, you did not see it at the moment. I think that is quite common. I mean, she caught you off guard. At the moment you where not thinking about doing anything. You just though about chatting abit. Do not worry too much. Just laught it off.

When I was in high school I used to say hi to the people I knew as I was walking pass them. I was trying to portray myself more friendly since I'm a shy person. The thing is I did not know these people very well. They where just in my class. So there I went say hi, to that guy and hi to that girl so on and so forth. They all seem to play along. Well, one day I say hi to a particular girl as was my routine. The thing is this one time she decided to actually stop and talk. Boy did that threw me off. I didn't know what to do. The routine was for me to say hi and for the person to say hi back or what ever. This talking to me was very unexpected. I mean not that I didn't want to talk to people but I was not in that mind set. I was not expecting it. Needless to say I screw the whole thing. I probably made myself look more weird than the usual. O well, win some loose 100,000. Thats the way life goes.

If you had a class at 12pm, and it was 11:15am, why didn't you go outside and sit with the girl until your class started? Perhaps this is what she was wanting to do? Maybe you need to go and make it up to her somehow.

Well first don't ever think of yourself as stupid. You simply overlooked a girl showing some interest, it happens to all guys.
It's no big deal, next time you see her ask her to lunch or something. Then during lunch joke about being a space cadet when you last saw her and did she notice? She will get a laugh out of it.

You somehow forget to catch her indirect invitation for you to follow her. It's ok we are just a normal human being tend to do mistake. There is more time for you to correct your past mistake.
