The BEST thing to use after you are done straightening is a shine serum. They sell this at all beauty supply stores and it a clear thick liquid. Two good brands I use are called Paul Mitchell and Bed Head. The shine serum is good to prevent frizz and to keep hair complex and it also gives it volume. I really hope this helped you! :) Good luck! :)

I had the same question, so when I went to a salon they told me that I needed to be applying something before and not after. They recomended a shine spray that protects hair when straightened. I use the Pureology brand. It can be purchased at most salons and beauty supply stores. Applying this protects your hair from damage that a straightener may cause.

i would put in a leave in conditioner before i started drying it. straightening irons can do alot of damage..its better to use a blow dryer on a more cool setting and a round brush .

i personally straighten my hair everyday. but i usually blow dry it first just to make sure its not damp, if its damp it causes split ends but other than that i dont like to but anything in my hair becuase for a lot of people it gives it a greasy look. your hair should feel smooth after you straighten it.

I SEE MANY PEOPLE HAVE SUGGESTED HAIR SPRAY, IF IT IS SPRAYED DIRECTLY ON THE HAIR IT CAN DAMAGE YOUR HAIR CUTICLE. USE OF HAIR SERUM AS ALREADY SUGGESTED WORKS EXTREMELY WELL. IF YOU WANT TO USE HAIR SPRAY OR OIL SHEEN SPRAY IT ONTO A COMB AND COMB IT THROUGHOUT YOUR HAIR. THIS WILL GIVE IT THE PROTECTION IT NEEDS WITHOUT ADDING EXTRA WEIGHT TO IT.

comb the mousse through first, then straighten it. i have almost kinky, thick, huge hair, and that works for me.
