He's 18 and she's 15(barely)?
Do you see anything wrong with that?
She's under age and he could get in some trouble.
Age difference is not the problem, the problem is that she's too young for an 18 year old under the eyes of the LAW.
Your cousin needs to be careful, and that young man she's dating should know better.
Good Luck ^_^

It has been completely normal throughout most of history for a man to be significantly older than the woman he marries -- anywhere from the two to three years you were talking about to as much as fifteen or twenty. Fifteen, however, is too young for her to be thinking about sex or marriage. True, that was once marriagable age, but that was when the parents made the decicsion, not an adolescent girl. Your cousin should not become serious with this one -- casual dating might be acceptable, but they need to wait a few years before considering anything deeper.

Yes. The age difference is wrong from a legal stand point because the minor would have to be within a 2 year age gap in most states.
In my opinion, there isn't anything wrong if both parents consent to the relationship between the two because then you won't have to worry about anyone taking legal action against the guy.

I think it helps that they have been friends for a while -- this way you can be sure that he is someone she really knows pretty well and that she trusts him. If she's been friends with him for so long, he must be a pretty good guy. The age difference is only an issue because she's 15... if she were 25 and him 28 -- would it matter to you then?

Two words: statutory rape.
In guy language: fifteen will get you twenty (years in prison).
She is flattered because shes too immature to know different. He is flattered because there is only one thing he has in mind...
What does she know about love. 5 years is 30% of her lifetime, and if you consider the biological, and chemical changes her body goes through, it may be upwards of 100% of the lifespan of her personality. What does she know about love? Is her variant of love something that can commit for 80 years (16 times her personality-lifespan)? I dont think so.
She doesnt know what love is. Her overglorified flirting with the other guys she dates is her trying to figure it out, not her knowing it.

it's not the age difference that bothers me, but the fact that a 14 yr. old child is dating or even thinks she should date.
of course she dumps them in a few weeks. she can't possibly know what she's doing. her attention span isn't that developed. she is probably just imitating adults or what's expected of her..
i hope there are some adults in the picture..parents? she needs to have more in her life than prospective lovers.
just my opinion.

I think it's wrong while she's 15. They can take advantage of her. 15 year olds always say they're in love when they think they are and it can be scary. I don't think that's a good idea. When she gets older she can make that decision if she's wise about it.

Can you say statutory rape--- even if they are not sexualy active this young man is taking a BIG risk dating a girl 15 years old. He is old enough to vote drive. serve in the military and she isn't even old enough to get a part time job without parental consent

i do not think that is really that much of an age difference but a lot would depend on her parents i would think...but then on the other hand dating someone 18 could lead into trouble.....a lot depends on the parents and there keeping an eye on the situation....
